Tapping the keys on my keyboard dodging the swirls of attacks on the ground, staring at my computer screen I sniffle softly as I concentrate. My raid group talking non-stop in the background as we fight the final boss of the raid.. Over two grueling hours of fighting over and over to get to this point.. the only thing keeping me sane through all this? Looking over to my second monitor I watch the original Star Trek, watching as Spock and Kirk go on there wacky adventures. Smiling to myself as I watch pressing my attacks in there correct rotations, I hear the sirens of my raid app blaring at me to gain my attention. My eyes dart back to my original screen, watching as the boss tosses my character into the alternate plane along with some of my ally's.
"Fuck me. Everyone you know the drill. Drag the ADD to the tentacles and kill them. Loop around to our bodies.. I thought we had enough DPS to kill it in one go. Guess not." The raid leader bellows out ordering us what to do.
Slowly the large monsters health reaches zero, landing on the ground with a thud. Each one of us using our movement abilities to get back to our bodies. Clicking on them, we are sent back to the original reality inside the bosses lair, as the other half of the raid fends off his tentacles from above. The impervious shield surrounding the Boss disappears with the death of his general.
N'Zoth the old god lays back his eye twitching in pain, rushing to him I signal my pet unicorn Destiny to attack. Galloping to him faster than I can move I let her do her work. Drinking my potions quickly using my various combat augment runes, increasing my overall damage for a short time. All the other raiders attack N'Zoth at once. Slowly his health ticks lower and lower, using my Bestial wrath ability I glow a bright red as I roar. Boosting both my pets and my own damage, I summon a dire beast from my stable to aid in the attack. A large ghostly quinlong dragon leaps forward, attacking the monstrous old god.
A low bellowing roar filled with agony fills the large room. Watching as N'Zoth falls to the side dead, the end expansion cinematic plays as I tune it out. Turning back to my other monitor to continue to watch Star Trek. Once it ends the entire raid is teleported to a large chamber, a huge purple chest sits in the distance. Casually walking over to it I pray silently for some good loot..
"Fuck yes, I got the gun! Good shit lads. Same time next week Dan?" Leaning back in my computer chair looking at the raid leaders icon for a response.
"Yep, see you then Floop. Goodnight everybody!" Exiting the call I leave the raid, Using my recall stone I send my character back to his garrison. Stretching my back with a grunt hearing it crack satisfyingly. Once I load in I open my bag, searching for my gun I find it. Wanting to equip it before I log off for the night.
Logging out of the game I sigh softly, looking over to my clock I wince... Fuck me sideways it's 2am.. Goddamit.. Reaching down under my desk, I power off my computer. Standing up from my desk I make my way over to my bed. Totally beat from that raid I kick off my shoes laying down, grabbing my comforter I wrap myself up in a cocoon of fabric. Drifting off into the nothingness of sleep, praying silently I have a good dream...
An odd tingling sensation ripples over my body as I reach the edge of unconsciousness, furrowing my brows in confusion when a bright white light disturbs me from sleeping. I grumble and turn over before I plunge into sleep.. I'll deal with it in the morning..
- ??? - Alex POV -
Slowly my body starts up by itself, reeling me back in from the comforting black void of sleep. Plunging me into the conscious world to live another boring day... "Anything to report on our mystery guest?" Voices... I hear voices.. Why does he sound so familiar..? Must be something playing on the tv.
