"How are you feeling" asked Lily as the girls woke up on the sunny spring morning. the bright sun and birds tweeting outside of the window contrasting against Gracies terrible mood.

"Like shit" stated the girl bluntly with puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"Right up you get" said Alice laying out the girls uniform "You're going to go into that hall this morning and you are going to look like a million galleons and show that boy exactly what he's missing"

"I broke up with him remember?" she grumbled into her pillow

Alice and Lily exchanged weary looks coming to a silent agreement as a plan to get the girl out of bed. "If you don't get up I'm gonna go get Ebony." But Gracie did not move and Alice disappeared from the room only to return moments later with a fierce girl standing behind her.

"Girl, if you don't walk into that room looking like the baddest bitch..I swear I'll kill you." stated Ebony Lincoln a seventh year Gryffindor girl who had always been like a big sister to Gracie. Both girls were Half-Blood and lived in large houses in Essex, meaning that they grew up around each other.

"But I don't want to see him"

"Him?" frowned Ebony "Have I missed something?"

"They broke up" explained Lily not bothering on details knowing that the state of the girl would answer all the questions that the dark skinned girl needed to ask.

"Shit." she cursed under her breath. Until she strut over to the blonde girls bed "Here's what you're gonna do..you two as well" said the girl pointing at the other two Gryffindor girls in the room. "You're gonna get up, beat your face, roll up your skirt and show off your smooth little legs, put your stockings on for extra spice, and you're gonna strut into that room looking like you own the school. Because you do, remember?"

"Okay" sniffed Gracie

"Good girl" smiled Ebony "Now let's get you ready shall we?"

And so the four girls got ready that morning doing exactly as Ebony instructed beating their face and hiking up their skirts a few inches the girls walked into the Great Hall feeling all eyes on them as it suddenly fell silent. Ebony parted from the three younger girls and moved to sit with her friends.

It seemed as though the news of the couples break up had spread quickly throughout Hogwarts as it was seemingly the topic of everyones morning conversation. So as the marauders were on their way down to breakfast they didn't miss the whispers of people as they walked through the corridors looking at Sirius' bright smile. "What do you reckon they're all talking about?" Sirius asked James who avoided his eyes.

"Dunno mate" shrugged the bespectacled boy suddenly finding the walls very interesting.

"Do you reckon I should speak to Grace this morning...then we can get back together and everything will go back to normal..?" he asked thoughtfully for his best mates' opinions, and whilst Peter instantly agreed alongside Remus who both apparently still had hope for the couples relationship, James did not. And everyone knows James' opinion is one Sirius takes into account the most especially when it comes to Gracie mostly because the boy knew her better than Peter and Remus and therefore would be better at giving him advice on the girl. "Prongs?" he asked wondering why the boy was not giving her an answer.
