"Alright lads" grinned Sirius merrily plopping into his seat next to James in transfigurations ignoring the confused stare of McGonagall burning into the side of his head.
"Where were you last night, you didn't come back to the dorm?" frowned James slightly annoyed at his mate, though truthfully deep down he already knew the answer he had just hoped it wasn't true.
The question caused Sirius to smirk and wink at his friend "Think we both know the answer to that one mate" he chuckled sending another wink to James.
"You shagged that girl then?" said James in shock
"Yep" said the boy popping the p glancing around the room to make sure that Gracie hadn't heard. "Don't tell Grace though.." he muttered
"Padfoot" said Remus a bit hesitantly "Don't you think that you're moving on a bit fast..?"
Sirius sighed his true emotions showing "I haven't moved on" he said "I love her I do, but I need a distraction...it's torture knowing that she's right there but I can't have her" he explained "Just please don't tell her" he begged
"Why does it matter?" frowned James slightly hostile "you didn't seem to care at the party last night"
"What's that supposed to mean?" frowned Sirius slightly worried "I didn't even see her at the party last night..didn't think she was there."
"Yeah? Well she saw you." scoffed James making Sirius' heart drop down to his stomach hoping James didn't mean what he thought that he meant.
"Why did no one tell me?"
"Well being completely honest with you mate you seemed to be..erm how do I day it- oh right!_ a bit preoccupied" said James "Yeah..she saw you mate, she just chose not to talk to you, said she didn't want to interrupt you and your new girlfriend"
"S-she's not my girlfriend" stuttered Sirius with a trembling lip as fear took over his body. She had seen.
"Oh really? Sorry easy mistake when your throat was down her throat!" snapped the boy
"James, enough." scolded Remus as several heads turned to look at the boys whilst Remus sent a glare that told the boy to stop talking before he breaks his best mates heart. James' glare softened and he muttered a short apology to Sirius to which he just nodded furrowing his brows at his friends.
The classes attention however was taken off of the boys when two giggling students fell into the classroom ten minutes late. A familiar melody filled Sirius' ears as he too twisted his body to find Gracie hunched over clutching her stomach in laughter besides a boy who stood around 6'1 a significant height difference in comparison to her who stood at only 5'3 and a half.
"That's not how it works-" he laughed
"It so is!" she chimed in her little Irish accent Sirius' stomach brewing with jealousy as he looked at the two.
