"Hey" slurred a drunk Sirius to a giggling Gracie.

"Hey" she giggled slurring back.

"Can I tell you a secret?" he whispered not so quietly into her ear from his place besides her on the sofa.

"Yeah?" she said looking to face him their noses brushing.

"I love you." he laughed "I love you a lot...but you made me really sad and you broke up with me." he said pouting with a wavering lip "And now you're with t-that Corbyn boy and-"

"But you have lots of girlfriends" she slurred back "Theres Vanessa, and Lois, and Genesis and Sylvia and- and you kiss all of them! And you make love to them! You do to them everything you used to do with me...you promised I would be the only one and- and- you broke the promise" she pouted "I haven't even kissed anyone since we broke up but you-" she sniffed "You're really pretty"

"No you are" he said as their faces inched closer

"No you are" she said eyes fluttering closed

"No you are" he said more quietly as Elvis played in the background.

"No you arnesjd" the girls voice was muffled by Sirius' lips which tasted like firewhiskey and muggle beer. Gracie quickly melted into the kiss throwing her arms around the back of his neck and running her hands through his hair pulling him closer as their lips moved in sync.

Sirius moaned into her mouth at the feeling of her hands running through his hair and he pulled her into his lap minimising the space between them. "I love you" he slurred moving his lips to her jaw

"I love you" she giggled back kissing his neck.

Their friends watched from afar knowing neither would remember this tomorrow and would go back to moping around each other stealing subtle glances every now and then.

Sirius would go back to his newly found womaniser ways and Gracie would continue to slowly learn how to hand her heart to another without even knowing it. Both parties were sending their relationship platonic or romantic, onto a path of inevitable destruction as they avoided their problems through the use of alcohol and sex. They were pushing each other away, but they held each other close in their hearts.

They thought they were destroying each other but in reality they were- they are, only destroying themselves. And so James, Remus, Peter, Lily and Alice watched the couple as they kissed for the first time in month. Looking more in love than ever before and they smile at the sight, maybe there was hope for the two.

Despite the arguing and angst within their relationship Gracie and Sirius were just meant to be. They always seemed to find their way back to each other, only this time they were putting up a fight, but the alcohol in their systems made them let loose, give up trying to resist temptation. Gracie told her friends that they were just not meant to be, it was written in the stars that their relationship must end. But if that were true then why do they always seem to end up back with each other, no matter what the circumstance is.
