What makes a team (bad batch X OC)

I entered inside the ship thinking I might take a nap or something. I don't know I want something think to do.

"Hey Phoenix!" Hunter was leans on the wall and move his head signaling me to come with him.I noded and followed his to his room (don't even go there).

"What is it, Hunter?" I asked in concern.

He takes a deep breath "I want you to know before my brothers do. If anything happens to my even if I die. I want you to lead the bad batch."

My eyes widened in shock "what?"

"You'll be next to take my place when the time comes" he answered "I trust you more than you think. And you're suited as a leader."

"Hunter" I walked up to him as I put my left hand on his chest "you're going ahead of yourself. Don't worry about what might happen in the war." I take my hand off him and continued "And I'm not suited as a leader like you. Hell, I don't even think Crosshair would listen to me."

"Phoenix, I know you." He said softly putting his hands on my face "you may not think much about things you don't believe you can do. But I do, so does the rest of the team. You're stronger and tougher than you think" he lets go of my face. "You'll understand"

I nodded and then smile "thanks for telling me sarg" then I left his room.

Hunters pov

She still doesn't understand we may be a good team but one day at least one of us will be gone. I sometimes think I'll be fist to go. And I want her to take my place when I go. She knows how to keep the team going.

Although she does Things like babies wrecker, help tech with mechanical things and she and Crosshair act and fight like a married couple. Honestly, I wondered how'd she'd tame him.

And as for our new member echo. She seems to grow fond of him. Of course they became good friends. It always makes my blood boil even when she's with the other team.

I don't know what the feeling is. But I do know one thing. I'll protect her however I can to keep her safe until the end of my life.
