When he woke up, sun was rising above the sea. Ash was everywhere. He was covered in it. It was in his lungs, in his head. He was alone. There was just ash and nothing else. He didn't know where he was and why he was lying in the ash. He couldn't remember why his heart hurt so much. He couldn't even remember his own name. He remembered just fire. He was born of it like a phoenix.
