❥ TEN : confirmation

Tanaka walked in the hallway to the classroom feeling happier than usual. In fact he had a good reason to be this delighted, he was taking things greatly and not for granted. He was practically glowing.

Over the weekend, he thought of the feelings and events that he should've after sensing the change with his fondness for Kiyoko. 

Tanaka turned around the corner, he then spotted Nanami and Ivanna chatting. Tanaka hurried back to the corner, hiding away from them. He then heard their voices, he peeked slightly. He knew it was wrong to eavesdrop but he couldn't help it especially since it's that topic.

Nanami nods slowly, her arms crossed on her chest. "You mentioned someone before." Ivanna look confused, "Who?" she asks looking at her, eyes knitted. "I believe his name was Hitoshi."

Ivanna then look astonished, "I'm surprised you remembered that, but yeah I mentioned him. What's the matter?" she asks. It was Tanaka's turn to be confused it was his first time he heard that name.

He got curious on who he was, and tried to hear more about their conversation.

"He's the one you like right??" Nanami asked and Tanaka's eyes widened the information. "No." Ivanna clarifies without missing a beat. Tanaka felt a little relieved, and continued to listen to them.

Tanaka slowly started feeling guilty for listening in their conversation. "He's my ex, but I don't like him anymore." Tanaka sighed in relief as if weights were removed from his shoulders.

Since he was already an ex boyfriend, meaning they were over. And the fact that she didn't like him anymore made it even more clear. He smiled and left the scene to his classroom.

He figured that since he already figured out his feelings, the first thing he needed to do was talk to Kiyoko-senpai. Afterwards he need to think of a way to make Ivanna say agree into being his girlfriend.

To do just that, he needed help since he had no experience in that. In real dating and relationships that is. Therefore after classes and the training with coach, when it was just him and his team. He went up to Kiyoko and asked if he could talk to her separately.

Tsukishima then mocked him "What to profess your undying love again?" is what his face said. Kiyoko said sure and  they went outside but of course their conversation will be left unheard.

"Kiyoko-senpai! After much though I don't like you as much as I used to. Up till now, I'm sorry for bothering you. I like someone else now but-" Tanaka said, then looked at her straight in the eye. 

Tanaka then bowed, "Maybe in another life we could-" Kiyoko then interjected "No." Tanaka chuckled playfully, scratching the back of his head. Despite her disagreement, she shown a smile. A small, friendly smile. 

Everyone looked bewildered, "HUH!?"

Tanaka already knew how they'd react so he took some time to explain. He then sat down and bowed, "Please help me."

Again, they looked baffled, not knowing what to say to the poor love-stricken boy.  Nishinoya was the first one to speak, "Don't worry bro,  I'll help you!" 

"Thank you."

For about 45 minutes they talked about what he should do. How he should confess to her and the like. Tanaka even proposed an idea of how he wanted to ask her out, the team and their two managers gave their own set of ideas for it.

Tanaka felt overjoyed for their help. Although Tsukishima looked highly bothered by the idea of Tanaka asking Ivanna out, and the possibility of the dating; he reluctantly gave his advice on how to woo her.

With the help of the team, he felt confident enough to woo her. Their words of encouragement, even Tsukishima and Kageyama's unenthusiastic words as well, made him feel better and reassured. He was ready, and he hoped that she would at least give him a chance;  since a chance is all he needs.
