I stare at the blue box with a black engraved letters of a familiar luxurious brand. Dinampot ko agad iyon at tinabi. I can't help but to be bitter. My life sucks real hard.
I closed my eyes for seconds... minutes.
"Papa..."
She's... she's on her way there. Dito ka na sa bahay matulog. Ako na ang mag-aasikaso sa burol. Please take care of yourself, anak." Napatango nalang ako kahit alam kong hindi niya nakikita yon.
I let him talk for a minute. He comforts me through words but I don't think it's enough. I kept on reminiscing our memories.
"Thank God," my sister sighed in relief after seeing me.
With no words, she sat on my bed and hug me.
"I didn't expect this... If only I..."
"Shh. Nobody did." She shushed and hugged me tighter. We stayed like that for moment. Her warm embrace gave me sudden comfort.
"Let's go?"
I don't like being pitied by anyone. I still managed to give her a smile even if my inner self is in the state of destruction.
"Thank you," I said after my sister opened the car door for me.
I unbuckled my seatbelt bago nanghihinang bumaba. Si Tasmin naman ay mabilis na bumaba. She then snaked her arm on mine before we enter the mansion. "Manang, where's dad?" Aniya pagpasok palang sa mansyon.
"Ay! umalis si Robert. Nagbilin lang na may aasikasuhin siya. Teka si Elizabeth ba yan?"
"Yes po." She looked at me. "Wait, wala na pala si Dad. Let's go na sa kitchen. You have to eat first, what do you want by the way? I'm gonna cook for you."
"I'm not hungry." I said in a small voice.
"Oh my God, you're rejecting my offer? Don't you want me to cook for you?" She tapped her chest repeatedly acting as if she's hurt. Bahagya tuloy ako'ng natawa dahil doon. "But seriously, Ate, don't be so hard headed. You need to eat. Abby told me you were barely eating these past few days. You're getting thinner too."
"Fine, get me some mango. I... I want the yellow one please."
"Huh? Where can I get one?" Nangunot ang noo niya. Napailing nalang ako. "Wait I'm just gonna call kuya Tony." She dialed him on her phone. Napaupo lang ako sa sofa. Nanghihina na ako. I can't even walk.
Umalis saglit si Tasmin but I can still hear her voice from here. "Hello--oh! You're Harry right? She's there."
