"Are you okay?" Nikhil questioned Anvi over the call.
"It's the tenth time you called me in the last hour," Anvi replied, rolling her eyes.
"Because I am worried." Nikhil's perturbed voice didn't settle well with Anvi. She sighed before assuring her husband," I am fine, Nick. Your wife is quite strong. Don't underestimate her."
It had been seven days since Anvi was rescued. When she was abducted Nikhil had lied to her colleagues that Anvi had an accident. He had managed things for her in his wife's absence. Nikhil used to make sure she wasn't alone. Though he wasn't able to arrange any security team for her because of the money crunch he was facing, he used to drop and pick her up daily. He would call her numerous times, keep a check on her, and would text her every hour.
"I am not underestimating you, sweetheart. But I am petrified of what could happen to you if...."Anvi cut Nikhil off in mid as she said, "Nothing would happen."
Nikhil didn't reply. He was aware he was overreacting but his love had made him do so."I need to go now, hubby. It's time for lunch." Anvi said when she saw Ray and Leena waving hands to her standing outside of her cabin.
"I know. Don't go with your colleagues today." Anvi shut down her laptop and got off the seat.
"Why so?" she asked. She walked out of her cabin and made her way towards the elevator with her colleagues. Anvi thought Nikhil was just messing until she heard him say, "I am in the parking lot." Anvi couldn't believe what she heard so she confirmed, "You are kidding, right?"
Anvi along with her colleagues walked inside the elevator.
"Let me send you my picture then." Nikhil instantly cut the call and sent his picture to his wife who was quite ecstatic about the fact that she was going to have lunch with her husband.
"Ah, guys. I won't be coming with you for lunch." Anvi said to the girls while pressing the button for the basement in the lift.
"We know. We have seen him already." Ray said, smirking at Anvi who blushed.
Anvi when reached the parking lot, roamed her eyes around to spot her husband. Her eyes stopped where she spotted a handsome man standing supporting his back on the car with his legs crossed in front and hands in his pants pockets. She ran to him like a kid. Nikhil shook her head when found her running towards him. He picked her up as soon as she reached him and twirled her around.
