Bad, bad boy

Today is my first day in my new internship at the hospital. I feel like I'm in Grey's Anatomy! Of course, that show will be much more exciting than my actual internship but I have the same goal as the characters from that show ; to become a doctor.

I got up from bed and went to the kitchen. "Good morning Allie!" My mom said. I smelt the crisp bacon on the stove. My mouth started watering. "Can I have one?" I asked. My mom looked at me as if she was holding in a laugh.

"What?" I asked her.

"ONE pice of bacon? I know you, Allie."

I sighed and giggled.

"Okayyy...maybe 2 pieces."

My mom stared at me giving me a 'we both know that's not true' look.

"Ugh! Fine! I want the whole pan of bacon!"

My mom tickled my stomach and we both laughed.

"You can have a few pieces but you don't want to be late for your first day!" My mom said.

"Okay!" I said, grabbing a piece of bacon. "Ah! It's too hot!" I yelled. My mom laughed. I waited for it to cool down before grabbing some and heading out.

I decided it would be best to take the bus to the hospital. Then I would get there 5 minutes earlier than when I should be there. It never hurts to be early!

I walked through the neighborhood to get to the bus stop. My shoes clacked on the cobblestone. I passed a coffee shop and outside I saw a guy wearing a leather jacket making out with his girlfriend. I bet they have something better to do today instead of making beds and cleaning all day. He is holding onto his motorcycle as they laugh. Whatever, I just want to get there as soon as possible.

I hop on to the bus and sit down next to a girl on the phone screaming about how there is a sale in one of the shops and that her friend has to come. I sit down and listen to her for a minute. She gets off at the next stop and I get out my book and start to read. After a few chapters I realize I'm at my stop. I put my book back into my bag and quietly get off. I wrap my cardigan around my waist and I walk around the square near the hospital.

Suddenly someone bumps into me and I feel a hot liquid sink in to my clothes. I yelp and jump up. I look down and see a dark brown stain on my new white shirt. I gasp.

"I am so sorry about that!" A voice says.

I look up and see a boy with light brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. I take a step back. I swear he looks familiar.

"Here." He says, passing me a napkin. I grab it and start trying to wipe the stain out. Once I realize it's hopeless I look up at him and give him a look.

"I'm so sorry!" He repeats. The one day I need a change of clothes I don't have any!

"It's fine. It's fine. I just gotta get a change of clothes, fast." I answer.

A spark goes through his eyes.

"I have an idea." He says. "Come with me."

I start following him and he leads me to a store. "This is the store where my girlfriend works. I'm sure she has an outfit you can borrow." He says.

We walk in and see this beautiful store with so many amazing outfits. I couldn't wear any of these! I could never pull off any of these amazing outfits! We get to the counter and he calls over his girlfriend. As soon as I see them together, I realize where I've seen him before! He is the boy that I saw outside of the coffee shop! It all adds up, the coffee cup and his girlfriend looked so familiar too!

"Hailey!" He says.

"Oh! Zach! What are you doing here?" She answers.

'Zach.' I repeat in my head.

"I need to borrow some girls clothes quick!"

"Oh! Well I don't know how good you'll look in them but we can try I guess.."

"No! Not for me! This is..." he looks at me.

"Oh! Uhmm I'm Allie!" I say, a little too loudly. I blush a bit as people start to look at me. They soon look away but that was embarrassing.

"Yeah. Allie needs some clothes! I spilt my coffee on her."

"Okay. Well we have some old ones from last season that she could use!" Hailey says.

"That would be great!" I say quickly.

"Great! I'll show you to the dressing rooms!" She answers.

She leads me there and then stops walking for a second. "Listen." She starts.

"Umm.. okay. I'm kinda in a rush though." I say.

"It can wait!" She whispers loudly.

"Okay..." I say timidly. I don't want to argue with her, I'm so not in the mood.

"That is my boyfriend. Okay? MINE! So if you try to steal him all you'll do is embarrass yourself because he loves me!" She says angrily.

"I'm not trying to steal him, I'm just trying to get some new clothes!"

"You better not! Because you will fail if you try."

"Okay."

She starts smiling again.

"Great! Now that that's out of the way, here is your dressing room! Byee!"

That was weird. I don't even like him. He is such a bad boy, I saw the motorcycle near the coffee shop. He is definitely not my type. Well, he is really cute...and he is really sweet for helping me. I can't get distracted though. He has a girlfriend and he loves her apparently. I push down that feeling and I change quickly and go out of the dressing room. That outfit actually looked kinda good on me. I turned around smiled at my reflection before I went back to the counter. Zach and Hailey were talking. Suddenly, Zach realized I was there. He stared at me for a second. I felt very self conscious but then Hailey gave him a look and he stopped.

"Hey, thanks so much for the outfit, but I got to go. I'm going to be late!" I say. I'm pretty sure I'm already late but I don't say that.

"Oh! Yeah, okay! Where are you going?" Zach asks.

"I'm going to the hospital."

"Are you okay? You don't look sick!"

"No, I'm fine. I have an internship there."

"Oh really?" He asks.

"Yep!"

"Me too!"

Suddenly the world stops and I freeze on the spot. Zach has an internship at the hospital too?
