"Hello sir." said Beau with a smile holding out his for me to shake.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked shaking his hand.

"Great! How about yourself?" he asked sitting down.

"So you're Charlotte's friend?" I asked with a glare.

"Yes." he said uncertain.

"Mhm. Nice to finally meet you instead of out on the ice."

"You too." he said then turned to Charlotte, "and how are you?"

"Oh just fantastic." she said nervously.

After that we talked for a while, Beau actually wasn't that bad of a guy I must admit. I was still wondering why she wanted me to meet him.

As we were eating dessert Charlotte gave him this very odd look... He gave her a worried look in return and mouthed something to her I could not pick up.

Charlotte's POV

My heart was racing in my chest as I gave Beau the better-tell-him-now look, then he mouthed "I hope you come to my funeral" then turned to Matt.

"Uhh so as you know I've been talking to your sister now for quiet a long time and..." then he froze.

"And what?" asked Matt.

"Uhh.." he took a deep breath.

"We've been dating for a while now!" I blurted out.

"What?"asked Matt glaring at Beau.

I thought Beau was about to puke or pass out... Maybe even both.

"Yes! Don't be mad. I mean yes we went behind your back and we are so sorry for that, but it wasn't the right time to tell you." I said while Beau was still recovering.

Matt sat and thought for a minute, silence took over. You could tell he was in deep thought, this is either really good or really bad.

"Thank you for telling me." Matt said in the most laid back voice ever.

"What?" I asked.

"Thanks for telling me." he repeated.

"Thank you?!"

"That's what I said." Matt said taking a drink of water.

"What is up-" then I was cut off.

"Thank you for not being mad." said Beau cutting in.

"Eh no problem you guys seem happy."

I was not expecting this. Where the hell did my brother go?! All throughout the rest of dessert I couldn't help but stare at him and wonder what he was trying to pull.

As we were leaving dinner I stared at Matt as he shook Beau's hand... What is he up to?

"That was nice." said Matt on the drive home.

"Yeah." I said still trying to figure out what is going on.

"I was wrong about him..." Matt admitted.

"What?!" I said with a smile plastered on my face.

"I...was...wrong..." he repeated.

"Oh! Wait, wait I need a moment!" I said laughing, "How does it feel to be wrong?" I taunted.

"Like I just ate as much ice cream as you did after you won the race." he smiled.

"Mhm! I won't say it..." I said retaining myself.

"Oh my God just say it..." he smiled.

"I told you so!" I yelled.

"I knew you couldn't resist!" he laughed.

"You should believe me more often!"

"I wouldn't go that far." he said, I rolled my eyes.

When we got home it was late, I was so tired I just went to bed.

Matt's POV

As much as I hated to admit it, Beau wasn't a bad guy, he seems to like my sister.

After I showered I was trying to find a place to hide Charlotte's gift when I came across the letters my mom had wrote for me, I picked up the one that said When Your Sister Proves You Wrong. I laughed at the title as I opened it...

Dear Matty,
If you are reading this letter, your sister proved you wrong. It's probably about a boy... Yes I was once a young girl. You just have to trust your sister, she knows when to go with her gut and when not to. Be nice to the boy! He is probably a young handsome man who respects her. The only time you can get him is if he hurts her, I give you permission. I'm sorry that you have to read this advice instead of hearing it, but just remember your father and I will love you always!

Love,
Mom

I smiled at the letter and tucked it back inside the envelope.
