It's For Her Own Good

Taehyung's pov:

I couldn't able to process what he said. Did she really left her studies? Is it because of me?

Tae: Do you know why?

Chan: Not really. But she said her family needs her more right now. She moved back to Japan and joined another college.

Tae: what happened to her family?

Chan: she is not really comfortable with us asking about it so we didn't dig deep into it.

I looked down thinking about what she said about her family. As far as I know her father is a doctor while mother is a lawyer. She has a brother who is athelete. Financially they don't have any problem. Did any of her family members got sick?

Chan: I thought you guys are in a relationship. She didn't tell you this?

Tae: *sighing* we used to be.

Understanding what I said he gave me a nod. After the classes are over I went to cafeteria and found my friends hanging with mina friends and few of our classmates.

I took my lunch and went there to sit down. All of sudden jeongyeon got up saying 'sorry!! I am not hungry. Right now. I will be going. See you guys' and left the table. Soon all girls left the table following her and they were chased by their male besties and boyfriends. It is only me, Rm and jimin.

Tae: what happened to them.

Rm: You are the reason they are like this.

Tae: why?

Jimin: come on tae. You know the reason. Don't act like you did nothing wrong.

Tae: what are you pointing at? You think I am the reason why she left college?

Jimin : you may not be the only reason but sure you are one of the reasons.

Tae: what do you want me to do now? Beg her to comeback.

Jimin: *scoffs* I don't know why I am talking to you. I am leaving. Will you come?

Jimin asked Rm

Rm: No. You go, I will join you guys later.

With that jimin left in anger.

Rm: what happened tae?

Tae: Nothing.

Rm: don't act smart in front of me. I know you love her.

I am silent as I can't answer him anything. He knows everything about me even problems with my mother. How I suffered. He is more like a brother to me.

Rm: Silence is not an answer. Last time I met you, you said you are gonna propose to her. Now what the heck happened. Why did she applied for transfer to another college?what did you do?

Tae: It is for her own good. It is best for us to breakup than to hurt each other in future. I don't want to be left alone by someone I loved. I don't want to get hurt again.

There is no response from him. I looked up to see his dissatisfied face saying "you will regret this decision" and leaving me all alone.

I am already regretting but I don't want to go back to the time where I am hurt. With that thoughts I continued with my life.

I tried to change my focus on mina to another person so started dating another girl. But it is of no use. Even though I am physically with her I am always thinking about mina. To my curse everything she does reminds me of mina.

For the first time a girl that I am dating initiated break up with me saying 'I don't love her'. What she said is true. I don't love her. I am trying to get over mina so I tried using her but it didn't go as I planned. That is how we Broke up within 4 weeks.

NEXT YEAR

Nothing seems to changed much. I am in my final semister and started focusing on studies instead of girls. I cleared all my exams and graduated with decent score along with many of my other friends. We thought of having a private party with close friends for one last time before leaving for good.

Jihyo's pov:

Jihyo: I guess everyone is here.

Rm: Taehyung is not yet here.

Sana: Is he going to come?

Suga: sure he will.

I heard tzuyu sighing. Before I could react jungkook took her hand asking "what happened?"

Tzuyu : Nothing. I wish mina is here too.

All of a sudden room filled with silence. But as for me I started trembling by listening to her name. No one knows what happened to her as she made a promise with me to not to tell anyone.

Nayeon : Just leave her. She doesn't think of us as her friend. After going to Japan she never tired to call us and when we did she never answered. I don't want to hear about her.

I don't want my friends think about her like that so I tried to change the topic.

Jihyo: Guys lets not ruin our moods. Let's change the topic. RM call Taehyung to come quick are-

I got cut off by jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon : I don't understand why you are still trying to back her up jihyo.

Jihyo : Jeong I am not trying to.

Jeongyeon : Then why do you always try to change the topic? Isn't she your best friend? You both used to be super close but she left us all with out proper explanation. Don't you think we deserve to know it.

I tried to control my anger while trying to cool her down.

Jihyo : we don't know what happened. She said that her family needs her more.

Chaeyoung : what is the problem with her family?

I turned my head to see chae backing up nayeon and jeongyeon with a serious tone.

Jihyo: Chae. Not you? You are the closest to her.

Sana: Then I will ask. As far as I know she doesn't have any financial issues so why does left us?

Jihyo: sana don't say it like that. You don't know what she went through.

Nayeon : so tell us so we can understand.

Jihyo : let's not talk about it please. We are her friends.

Jeongyeon : No. I want to still believe that she loved us and treated us as friends but slowly I lost it. Thinking about it now I guess she never treated us a friends.

People slowly agreeing and badmouthing mina broke my anger. I  hit my hands on the table and lift my body shouting with all my might and crying.

Jihyo: could you guys please stop badmouthing her. She loved you all and genuinely treated you guys as her friends. I couldn't believe my ears about how you think about her especially when she is not alive.

Silence filled the room.

Jimin: w-what did you say?

Realizing what I said closed my mouth with my hands crying

Tzuyu : *trembling voice*w-what d-does it m-mean that s-she is n-not in this w-world anymore?

I heard tzuyu trying hard to frame sentence as she is at the verge to cry.

Jungkook : jihyo. Please tell. What happened to my mina?

He tried to approach me but I back off. All the eyes looking at me with full of fear and shock made me weak. I tired to escape the please but failed as I bump into someone that I never should run into. He hold my shoulders tight and asking.

Tae: w-what happened to mina?

I tried to escape his grip but he is too strong.

Tae: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY Mina?

As he shout everyone got up from their place.

Jihyo : *crying *S-she is dead.
