Chapter 11: the secret spell of the melody

-Dave’s POV-

4:10 pm pa lang at tambay ako ngayon sa backstage ng music room. Dito ko kasing napiling tumambay  habang hinihintay ko si Jess dahil ihahatid ko pa s’ya pero syempre palihim lang. Mamaya pang 5 ang labas n’ya or rather nila. Alam ko naman na ihahatid na s’ya ni Seth pero my personal feelings shouldn’t be involved in my mission.

Kahit na alam kong masakit.

Exited akong pumuta ng parking lot. Ihahatid ko si Jess. Pero...................... <///////////////////3  Nakita ko siyang kasama si Seth. Magkausap sila at sumakay siya sa kotse nito. Ihahatid  na s’ya ni Seth pero sinundan ko sila. Seth being her boyfriend doesn’t and will never change the fact about my mission kaya sinundan ko sila. Sa tingin ko ay hindi naman pababayaan ni Seth si Jess pero ang misyon ay misyon.

Nakarating kami sa mall. Mukang may date pa sila. Ang sweet nila-sobra. They were holding hands. They bought stuffs for couples. They also took a photo together. Then they went to arcade to play, their hands still intertwined. As I was watching them, I can’t help but be jealous. It was choking to see the way he makes her smile, the way they looked at each other. It wasn’t just choking but rather dying to know that I would never make her smile the way he did and that she wouldn’t look at me the way she does to him.

It was the most painful curse to see at her eyes that she loved him and at his eyes that she meant the world to him. It was the most the most cruel curse knowing that even if I loved her more than he does she’d never love me the way she loves him.

What a cruel life I have. To bear this curse…..

“Hi po ma’am, sir. Kayo po ang naispatan namin na sweetest couple dito. Kanina pa namin napapansin ang kasweetan n’yo. Halos kumpleto kayo sa mga couple stuff such as couple shirt, rings, caps pati salamin. At habang naglalaro kayo talagang magkaholding hands pa.”

“Pwede po bang itry n’yo tong special game na inihanda namin para sa mga couple sa araw na ito? Simple lang naman ito. Kakantahan lang ni sir si ma’am tapos nakadepende sa score ang magiging prize.”

“Sali na kayo!”

“Go! Sali na!”

“Ang sweet n’yo grabe. Sige na kanta na.”

“AAAAAAaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyiiieeeeeee! Ang sweet n’yo talaga.”

“Talagang di sila mapaghihiwalay. Magkaholding hands pa din.”

“Nakakainggit naman kayo.”
