The Dark Witch's Daughter

This is unexpected

Did I hear him right? Did he just say "MATE?" I open my mouth to ask, but before I could say anything he pulled me into a janitor's closet. I guess he did because if he didn't he needs to let me go. The bell rang as soon as he closed the door. Looks like I'm late for computers.
"Sorry I just really wanted to talk to you," he apologizes. "My name is Roman Lunas, what's yours?"
Holy shit, this is bad if he finds out who my birth mother is he's gonna kill me.
Before I could answer the door opened.
"Roman, I thought I saw you come in here, what do you think your doing?" A man, more than likely a teacher, with dark hair and brown eyes asked him.
"Hi Tio, I was just talking could you give me a few minutes please?" He asked.
"Nope, but you can get to class before I call your mom. You can talk at lunch, now get moving." His Tio said.
Ooh that was savage right there!
His Tio turns to me, "what's your name and what class do you belong in?"
"My name is Ivy Littlewood and I have computers Sir,"I say.
"Well I'll need you to follow me then I'm you teacher Mr. Rosas," he stands back to let us out.
Before I can move away, Roman takes my hand and tells me he will see me at lunch. Then he heads to his class.
I stand there watching him for a second longer then turn to my teacher. Embarrassed by the knowing look he's giving me I blush.
"Well then shall we," he asks leading the way to class.
Needless to say that class didn't seem to end fast enough.
In my government class I made a friend her name is Lici Darkwood. Shes nice, a bit sassy, and honest. She sits next to me on my right side. She said she has an older brother named Alex and his wife's name is Jo. She lives with them, her parents moved to D.C. for her dad's new job and she asked if she could stay. "I told them, hey it's senior year! I'll probably would have moved the next year for college anyway, so you might as well let me stay! This way it won't hurt as much when I go to college after high school!"
Government went by quickly, when the bell rang we noticed we turned for the same direction, "which subject do you have next?" She asked me. "Umm let me see," looking at my schedual I saw I had Art. We had our next class together as well. Walking in we went ahead and sat together at a four person table.
"Hey babe! I didn't know you were taking Art," Lici said.
I turned to see who she was talking too, it's a tall nice looking guy with dark hair, dark eyes, and olive complexion.
"Yeah, I wanted more time with you," he bends to kiss her. As if just noticing me he reaches to shake my hand, "hi I'm Ruben Chavez, I'm Lici's m-boyfriend it's nice to meet you."
"Hi, I'm Ivy Littlewood nice to meet you," I say shaking his hand.
He sits at our table across from Lici, my phone buzzes in my pocket, so I pull it out to see who messaged me. It's from my Tia wondering if I'm having a good day. I quickly type out yes, got to go. Putting my phone back where I had it I look up to see we have a new table mate.
"So we meet again!"
