Holy crap, we have a class together and he's sitting across from me.
"You know each other?" Lici asks me.
"Umm," is all I can get out before he turns to Lici, "yeah, shes my mate!" He tells her with a smirk on his face.
Ruben and Lici both look at him like, "dude wtf what if she doesn't know what this means?"
To put their minds at ease, because I don't have it in me to lie.  "I know what that means, it's ok you don't have to freakout," I say.  I think it had the opposite effect, because all the of them turned to me so fast I jumped.  "What?" I asked.
Lici leans in whispering, " how do you know what that means?"
Are teacher walks in before I can reply.
"Ok class today we're going to draw the person across from you.  There are sketch pads available in the back one per person please, but be warned these will be the only ones I provide, you must buy a new one when you run out of room in this one.  If you need a pencil, first I must say you are whoafally unprepared, and second there is a box next to the sketchbooks grab one."
"For those of you who don't know me  my name is Cynthia Rosas and I am your Art teacher.  Welcome to my class, now get to work!"
I can already tell she is going to be my favorite teacher.
Once I sit with my sketch pad, Lici leans in, "so you going to tell me?" She whispers.
Whispering back I say, "I'll tell you at lunch."
Turning to Roman I see hes already drawing me or I think he is.  So I attempt to do the same, my life like drawings always leave something to be desired so I'm not sure how well this is going to look.
"So Ivy tell me where you moved from, because I've never seen you around here before," Ruben says.
Roman apparently didn't care for his tone because he growled at him.  Ignoring the growl I answer, "I was born around here but moved when I was still little, I've been living in Alaska till now."
"What's it like up there?" Lici asks.  "In the winter it's really cold but you get used to it, it's also dark most of the day.  Where I was living we would only have five hours of sunlight and the whole time it looked like sunset pretty much.  Further north of where I was they didn't even have sunlight for like a month.
"Wow no sun for a month that's crazy think of how freaking cold that would be," she shivers.
"What happens in spring or summer?" Roman asks with Curiosity.
"Hmm in spring the snow melts sometimes it will snow again but as the temperature rises it stops.  So naturally it tends to be mudy.  It rains a lot more in summer, oh and where I was the sun looked like it was going in a circle.  It also looked like it never fully set." I answer while trying to draw him.
The hour continued in this manner till the bell rang.
"Alright class see you tomorrow dont lose your stuff!" Our teacher calls, as we head for the door the teacher calls out, "Roman can I talk to you for a second please?"
He looks so annoyed, I can't help the giggle that escapes me.  He smiles when I cover my mouth.  Before I get out of ear shot I hear him call out to me, "see you at lunch."
I'm pretty sure I'm as red as a tomato.  Hurrying along I head to my last class of the day, I'm going to be learning/working as a librarian in the school library.
