'GUYS! WASSUP!'
rowan, ethan, and benny turned to see rory stood in front of them, most likely attempting to look cool, since he didn't have his glasses on and instead had on sunglasses. rowan had never been happier to see the boy in her life.
'rory? you're— we thought you were dead!'
'all i know is i woke up the morning after the party feeling awesome!' rory informed the three. 'no asthma, i don't need my glasses anymore, and i barely have to sleep anymore. the only problem's the sun. kind of annoying.'
benny scrunched up his face and asked, 'you're a fledging too?'
'heck no! i'm rocking the full-on vampire action, my dude. the big v!' he crossed his fingers to make a v. 'can I get a what-what?' the blonde boy held up his hand for a high five.
'what?! you drank human blood?' ethan questioned.
'of course he did.' rowan huffed. 'he's the biggest idiot to ever walk the earth!'
rory's smile fell to a frown and he quickly made up an excuse, 'they said i didn't i'd die.' rowan rolled her eyes and tucked her hair behind her ears, sighing. benny also sighed at rory's idiocy. 'all the other kids were doing it!'
'do you have any idea what you've done to yourself?!' benny asked his friend in disbelief.
'i'm immortal and all powerful, dude.' rory told him. 'ka-chow!'
'i hate you.' rowan stated, chewing her bottom lip. she looked past rory to see other vampires standing not too far away. a chill went down her spine and she let out a short nervous breath.
the boys soon noticed the others as well.
'sorry guys, i gotta go to church.' rory told his friends.
'church? vampires don't go to church.' ethan said, knowingly. rowan nodded, as she thought about how much of an idiot rory was. she was also thinking about the previous night, and her 'meltdown' in ethan's room.
'jesse says we have to,' rory told them, glancing back at the vampires before quickly glancing back. 'he's so bossy. he's all like, 'blah blah, the prophecy, and blah blah, you must find the cuban animals!'
