     'WHAT THE HELL DID YOU two do now?!' rowan said, closing her locker and walking down the hall to meet the boys, and the box that benny was carrying, which was violently moving in his arms. 'don't tell me you actually brought back bella's dead dog.'

     'della.' benny corrected, squirming around as he tried to keep the box still. 'and, yeah, we did. found some undead juice on grandma's secret shelf.'

     'you found your grandma's shelf?!' rowan asked, crossing her arms.

     'she showed you her shelf?' benny yelled, probably too loudly. 

     'yeah, i go over like twice a week and she mentors me on magicy stuff.'

     'okay, well, i'm gonna take that up with grandma later, but right now, i'm gonna give reunite a babe with her undead dog.' benny explained, still struggling to hold the box. 'there's della! when she sees puffles she'll be all over me!'

     he began to walk off in della's direction, leaving ethan and rowan behind. 'what kind of a dog name is puffles?'

     'don't ask me,' ethan muttered, shaking his head.

     sarah walked up to the two and asked, 'just tell me: what are you and dumber-you up to this time?' rowan turned to look at sarah with a confused look written on her face. 'not you.' the older girl specifies. 'this idiot right here.'

     'what? nothing!' ethan assures. 'i don't know what you're talking about!'

     sarah shook her head as she knew ethan was lying just by the tone of his voice. 'i know your work when i see it. i was trying out for a new sales job. . .'

     she began to describe what happened, but rowan couldn't focus on that. she instead focused on benny and della. she didn't see what benny saw in her, or why benny fell head over heels for her in the span of a few days.

     della was very, very pretty. but rowan thought benny could possibly like her. apparently, she was wrong.  

      'puffles? puffles?!' della cried from down the hall, making rowan realize something wasn't going right.

      she watched as puffles, who had red eyes and was growling at a very freaked della, and then she watched as della booked it down the hall. benny tried to run after her but rowan put her hands out and caught him, even though it took a lot of strength.
