Heather Chandler's "suicide" has become famous. Good has come out of it, just like Jason said. Not a lot, but still something. I'd never admit it aloud, though. Murder shouldn't yield things like this. Deep down, I think all three of us just made an unspoken oath to never tell anyone. It would only make it bad. Heather Duke has become famous since she was Chandler's best friend. It's like what we saw on TV.

She and McNamara also almost got Veronica date-raped by Kurt and Ram.

Veronica told me everything that happened at the cemetery last night. The thing is with being Jason's sister, Kurt and Ram don't really hit on me as much. But I wish I was there last night. I want to kick them in the blue balls they kept telling Veronica about. I join her to confront the remaining Heathers.

"I'm still looking for that apology from both of you for being two stone cold bitches last night," Veronica snaps as we find the Heathers at Chandler's old locker.

"Oh, we're busy cleaning out Heather's locker. Little respect?" Duke says. I frown.

"Doesn't mean you can't apologize, Duke," I say harshly. She looks me up and down, the judgement clear on her face.

"Wow, your brother is really rubbing off on you, Dean. I don't think you want to be exactly like that psycho." She scoffs. I narrow my eyes.

"Did you just call my brother a psycho?" I demand. Why shouldn't I hit her? She just insulted my brother.

"Maybe I did." I step forward.

"Say that again, why don't you?" I challenge, pointing a finger at her. "Watch what happens when you do."

"They're not psychos, so stop saying stuff like that," Veronica says defensively, gently pulling me away. She steps between us and shoots a warning look at me. "There's no need for hostility, we're just going to get in trouble." I think this might be directed more at me than Duke. "Right, y/n?" I stare her down, but she doesn't step aside. "Right?" She asks firmly. I sigh and cross my arms, looking away.

"... Right," I say sullenly. "No need for hostility," I repeat.

"Thank you."

"Huh. Veronica does seem to have control over both of you. Tell me, Veronica. Is it fun to have both Deans all nice and whipped for you? Are you into her too?" Duke says. I blink as if I've been slapped.

"... What? What are you talking about?" I demand. She's spreading rumors about us two now? "She's dating my brother! She's... We're not..." I cut myself off. No need to respond.

"I'm probably not wrong, y/n. And stop blushing." She gasps. "Kurt told me you pushed him away when he tried to kiss you. Is that why? Because you're dating?" My hands clench into fists again, my nails digging into my palms. "Ooh, it's because you're a-"

"It's because I don't like him! He's fucking disgusting!" I snap. She's trying to make me look bad. The very implication that Veronica would cheat on Jason with his own sister is so wrong that it sets me off. "Shut up, Heather!"

"You shut up! I don't have to shut up anymore!" Duke says angrily, a sneer on her face. She's so annoying. That's it. I take a deep breath, then laugh a little, shaking my head.

"Okay, then, Miss High and Mighty," I say, pretending I'm past it. "Excuse me," I say calmly to Veronica. I surge past her. She reaches out a hand.

"Y/n, don't-!" I grab the collar of Duke's shirt and slam her against a locker.

"Ow, what the hell?" I see her confidence melt away immediately. It's not like she's prepared. I doubt she's ever had to defend herself like I have.
