The employee in the Video 2*C stood on a rickety old latter as he replaced the long fluorescent lights in the dropdown ceiling. A horror movie played in the background.

Jackson and Lydia pulled into the parking lot of the video store in Lydia's beetle. He was going on and on about some movie that he wanted to rent.

"Now, Hoosiers is not only the best basketball movie ever, it is the best sports movie ever made."

"No," Lydia said nonchalantly, shaking her head.

"It's got Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper," Jackson added.

    "No," she repeated.

"Lydia, I swear to God you're gonna like it."

"No," she repeated yet again, smirking.

"I am not watching The Notebook again," he replied angrily.

Lydia glanced at him and raised her eyebrows.

Jackson sighed loudly and got out of the car and moped into the video store. When he entered, he glanced at the first shelf of movies as the telephone rang at the front desk.

"Can somebody help me find The Notebook?" he called, looking around.

The store was empty. The only evidence that someone was there was a latter and a couple of light bulbs pulled out of their sockets.

"Hello?" Jackson called as the phone started to ring a second time. "Is anybody working here?"

When no one answered, he sighed and mumbled: "You gotta be kidding me."

Jackson started to walk down the aisle, getting closer to the latter. That's when he saw a pair of feet sticking out from behind one of the shelves. His heart was pounding as he lightly stepped closer. Jackson eyes widened in terror as he saw a man lying dead on the floor with his throat ripped out. Lightheaded, he stumbled backwards, crashing into the latter. The light panel must have been caught on it because when the latter went down, it pulled out the panel from the ceiling, causing the lights to start flickering.

Meanwhile, Lydia sat in her car, taking pictures of herself; completely unaware that her boyfriend was in danger.

Jackson breathed heavily as he regained his balance. Hearing a low growl sound from behind him, he turned around, seeing some sort of beast with red glowing eyes staring back at him from the end of the aisle. He gasped and hurriedly made his way behind a shelf. Peeking his head out, Jackson saw the animal run across the aisle to the other side of the store. Then, the beast ran back, bumping into the shelf that Jackson was pressed against, causing some of the movies to fall off the shelf. Poking his head out again, he saw a shelf fall over onto another one. Then, that shelf fell in the next one, causing them to fall towards Jackson like dominos. Jackson dove towards the open aisle, but it was too late. The lower half of his body got trapped under the heavy wood furniture. Groaning, he tried to wiggle his legs out, but that was just causing more pain.

A wave of hot air hit the back of Jackson's neck where Derek's claw marks were still fresh. He froze, eyes bulging out of his head. A hand of talon-like claws slowly peeled back the collar of Jackson's shirt. The beast saw the claw marks and quickly galloped to the front of the video store, leaving Jackson panting on the floor. The animal rammed into the window, shattering glass everywhere.
