Sweet Pea and Kiara were spooning on their bed, still living with the Lodges.
"Kiara?" Sweet Pea whispered, she hummed in response. "What you said about me in there, how I help you, is that true?"
She took a deep breath, "yeah, it's all true. Why?"
"I- I just didn't know you were hurting that bad," He replied and kissed the back of her neck.
"I've gotten really good at hiding it," She whispered. "But- You've been- God! I'm sorry Kiara, you don't deserve any of it."
She turned around to face him and whispered, "thank you. I never would've made it this far without you." She placed her hand on his cheek and smiled sadly.
"I love you," He whispered.
"I- I love you," she whispered then smiled widely. "Oh my god!"
"What?" He giggled.
"I can say it! I can say it!" She beamed. "I love you Sweet Pea! It's not triggering anything when I say it, Sweet Pea. You- You fixed whatever Pitbull broke in me! I love you! I love you! I love you!"
"I love you so much," He smiled then kissed her.

And so, everything seemed to be wrapped up in a tidy bow. Kiara went back to live with the Keller's (the only real family she ever really had) and Sweet Pea went back to living in his trailer; but not a day went by when they didn't spend hours together.
Kiara knew she couldn't just count on Sweet Pea to "fix" her and began going to therapy once a week. It excelated to five times a week when she realized it was truly helping and she could easily afford it. (With her mom and step-dad stuck in prison more than half of their immense wealth was hers.)
Kiara still couldn't do much on her own and trying to function enough to go to school got too hard. She decided to take a break and worked it all out with her teachers so she could skip any day she had to and would do most of the work at home.
But overall, life was stable. Kiara and Cheryl cleared the air and were back to being best friends; Toni and Kiara even joined the Vixens together.
Kiara finally had a dad and brother that loved her and a serious boyfriend who supported her. For the first time in over five years, she wasn't worried about what the next day would bring or even the next hour. She felt safe, she felt happy.
