You and Fred walked Dilla to right outside the common room, an awkward silence the entire walk there. Finally, the three of you arrived at the portrait of the Fat Lady, stopping outside.

"Thanks again Fred," Dilla said, then she turned to you, "Oh and you too of course. It means a lot that you guys barely know me but are still helping me out."

"Yeah sure Dilla, again I'm sorry your first day isn't going to good." Fred said, "Well we have to get going, we both have a class coming up so we have to leave you here."

"Alright, well catch you both later, and thanks again." Dilla said before turning to the Fat Lady, saying the password which was "Caput Draconis," and entering the common room, the portrait swinging shut behind her.

Fred turned to you, "Maybe you and I can finish what we started after school?"

"Maybe we can Freddie," you responded slyly, trying to forget Dilla as soon as possible, "give me your cheek so I can give you a nice goodbye."

Fred obliged and bent down, allowing you to gently hold his chin and plant a kiss on his cheek.

"I'll be sure to see you later," Fred said, and as he did, you swore you saw him blushing.

You and Fred then walked down the stairs and headed in opposite directions to your next classes, parting ways for now.

The rest of your school day was a blur. Your next class was Transfiguration, followed by Muggle Studies. You ended your afternoon with lunch which you spent with Hermione. Thanks to your horrible luck, all of your friends had it at an earlier time leaving you with just Hermione. But you were thankful you were not completely alone, you loved Hermione and her presence.

The two of you sat in the library together and you watched as Hermione leafed through a large textbook.

"It's a good thing we're here Hermione," you said reading your handwriting on a small piece of parchment you had written on earlier, "McGonagall already gave us our first assignment and I need to grab a book on the types of transfigurations and write about the dangers and benefits of each."

"The transfiguration books are over there in that back aisle," Hermione said pointing to a shelf across the library, "if you have trouble just call me over."

You nodded and headed towards the shelf that Hermione had pointed to. Once you reached it, you scanned the shelf looking for any books with useful sounding titles. On the very top right of the shelf, the spine of a book had the title, Transfiguration Types. It sounded exactly like the kind of book that could help you write your essay. However, the book was far too high up on the shelf.

"Need some help?" Adrian asked you, walking over to the shelf and leaning on it.

"Embarrassingly enough I do," you admitted, "can you please grab me that book, Types of Transfiguration?"

"Will do," said Adrian grabbing the book and handing it to you.

"Since when are you so tall?" you asked him, "I swear we were the same height last year, I might've even been taller."

"Funny," Adrian chuckled, "my parents say I grew a foot over the summer but something tells me they exaggerated." he said, pausing to laugh at his joke, "I'm six foot on the dot if you want to get specific."

"Huh," you responded, "well I have to start reading this," you said, holding up the book, "but thanks so much for helping me grab it."

"Anytime," Adrian said, turning to walk off into another aisle

You walked back to you and Hermione's table where she was staring and gasping at you.

"Hermione, what is it? " you laughed, "You figure out how to get even higher marks somehow?"
