You held back your tears.
You held back your tears as you walked out of the infirmary, as you walked through the halls, and as you made your way through Gryffindor's common room up to your dorm.
Katie and Angelina silently walked on either side of you the whole way.
You finally made it to your dorm. You wanted to cry until you had no tears left.
You lost Fred.
You didn't just lose all of the romantic feelings he felt for you, but his childhood memories with you as well, precious memories spanning over years. And in a matter of moments, she took it all away.
Dilla took it all away.
"We're going to go get you water and something to eat, okay?" Katie said softly, interrupting your thoughts, "We will be right back."
You just nodded.
Katie and Angelina left the dorm. You hadn't realized how hungry you were, now feeling grateful they were getting you something to eat. Maybe it would make you feel slightly better.
As you went over to your bed and sat on the edge of it, you thought about how badly you just wanted to crawl under your covers and cry.
You couldn't fix this. Nobody could.
Tears started spilling down your cheeks.
"Back from the infirmary already?"
Dilla appeared in the doorway.
She stood, her hands were on her hips as smirked at you. She stood tall, proud of what she did.
You hated her.
You hated her more than anyone you had ever hated. Her perfect blonde hair. Her blue eyes could catch anyone's attention. Her angular features that anyone would die for.
The girl didn't have a flaw.
She could probably seduce Fred now. She was perfect. She could get him to love her.
You envied her.
Next to her, you felt, ordinary, like nothing.
Dilla could get anyone she wanted without trying. And after what she did, Fred was now there for her to take too.
She probably made him forget the horrid things she had done to the two of you.
There was now nothing stopping her. It was so easy.
Your cat then jumped onto your bed, Sam. You hadn't seen him for some time.
As Dilla began to walk further into the room he suddenly jumped off the bed and pounced onto her foot, sinking his teeth into her ankle.
"GET OFF ME YOU STUPID CAT!" Dilla shrieked, pulling her leg away and then kicking it forward, her foot right into Sam's side.
Sam bared his teeth and hissed at Dilla before slinking under the bed and out of sight.
"Don't you dare touch him," you said, standing up, "you've already hurt someone I love. Is one, not enough for you?" your tone all a mix of frustration, shock, and hurt.
"Now whatever are you talking about?" Dilla said sarcastically, walking towards you still.
"Stop it. I don't know what else you want. Are you here to gloat? Rub it in even more? You got what you wanted," you spat at her.
"What I wanted?" Dilla was now standing across from you, just a few feet away, "I heard that is was your wand they found there," she said innocently, smiling, knowing how much her words would hurt you.
