*ATTICUS*

It's been a couple of weeks and I haven't seen or bumped into Harper. Yeah, she skips classes and almost always passes them with flying colors. I know money talks but that's just unfair to anyone that is trying to work hard for their grade. I heard through a couple of friends that she was on vacation with her family. Her family is loaded, they own a couple of vineyards up north and they sell them here in Southern California. I honestly don't know what I saw in Harper. She's a vile person and needs to be put in her place.

Myles told me that he saw someone down there in the basement with him. I asked him if he'd been drinking and he said no. He felt this person grabbed his feet and was making weird noises so he assumed he was hallucinating. Poor guy, he lost his brother and people were using that against him but I'm going to find out who it was. I'm 100 percent it was Harper but I'm going to send a message to her loud and clear when I see her.

I was sitting on a comfortable black leather chair as I waited to be called. Stephan Miller finally returned my call, he said he was on vacation with family so I'm meeting him today to talk about my future in football and what he can bring to the table. I was nervous and excited because I knew this guy made all his recruits very famous.

"Atticus, my man, and golden boy," he came out to greet me with a huge smile. He was very cocky and confident as his smile was worth a million bucks. He shook my hand as he gestured me to go in first. "To the right, Atticus," I saw a good size office as I walked in.

His office was impressively moderate in size. His walls were full of famous football players, ones that he got to the top. His maple wood desk was neatly organized with a laptop and a few pens on the side. "Sit down, man. No need to be nervous, we are going to talk about your future and what I can bring to the table."

I sat down as I glanced at the bookshelf filled with many famous authors. I saw an antique globe by his desk and a minibar behind him. He caught me gazing at the bottles of liquor. "Want a drink," he caught me off guard as I shook my head.

"Sorry, it's too early for a drink and I'm driving."

He smirked as he opened his laptop. "So let's get to business. Any plans after college?"

"Well, I've gotten offers but it's mostly teams that I don't want to play for but now I'm getting desperate as this is my final semester in USC" he smirked as he put his hands in the back of his head.

"Well, my question to you is are you willing to live out of state if I looked for a team outside of California. And come on, do you really want to play for the 49ers?" He joked.

I laughed but I never thought about leaving if I got an offer in another state. "Well, I never thought about that. It's a very good question that didn't occur to me."

"Well I showed some coaches your plays and some already want you but you would need to get out of California."

My phone vibrated in my jeans as I took it out. I glanced at the text message and it was Myles texting me. I couldn't help but smirk.

"Who is the lucky lady?" Stephan asked as I glanced up at him.

"It's a friend, do you mind if I check?"

"Go for it. I'm just checking some emails."

I opened the text.

"Hey, they caught the guys that tried to you know, attacked me"

Another smile formed on my face.

"That's great news. We should go out for a drink? :)"
