Jungkook sat in the backseat of a car with a dark gloomy aura surrounding him as he gets driven towards Incheon Airport. He glanced out the window as the city that he was born and raised in passed him by.
A genuine smile curled on his lips and a small ease on his aching heart as y/n's words echoed in his ears, "Jungkook, I forgive you."
He finally got the forgiveness he had always wanted from her, even if she didn't chose him in the end. A huge weight as been lifted off his shoulders and he can freely go and let y/n be happy.
As the familiar buildings of Seoul slowly disappeared out of view, his heart was at ease and content to know his childhood friend that was a genuine good-hearted person was going to take care of her well. At that moment, especially as he glanced towards the Doberman beside him that he recently got himself, he couldn't help but placidly smile to know y/n was in good hands while he would eventually be okay with his new dog by his side.
"Goodbye, y/n. I guess we weren't meant to be in this life. In our next life, I'm going to make sure we meet again and I'll do things differently, giving you everything of what you deserve from the very beginning that I couldn't do in this life."
