The Internship || Chapter 42: Crashing a Gathering

"Wait, all of THAT happened while I was not me?" My good old friend looked at me with total shock, with his eyes open wide. It's quite adorable really, he has big eyes as if, so now that he is opening them even wider it's just sooo cute.
"Yeah..." I sighed and said "I know it's a lot to take in, so take your time."
"Are you kidding me? How could I have not been here when that happened?! I am so shocked!"
"It's me... I am so sorry that I could not take good care of you." I had no more tears left to cry anymore, This hurts so bad already.

"This is not your fault! Stop blaming yourself! I am here now and I am not leaving!" He hugged me tightly, and I melted into his warm and soft body. As he stroke my hair, my heart rested in peace for a while.
"I am happy to hear that Yoongi and you are getting along."
"Yeah, he is so sensitive and understanding."
"He has been through a lot, so he is very supporting. Does someone else know?"
"Uhh... not really. Just you two."
"Oh! How is Namjoon? He fell along with me."
"He cracked his rib cage, but he is doing much better now. He can walk and he told me that he will start to try to run soon."
"Phew! I am so glad." he sighed from relieve.

"Don't you worry, he will be just fine."
"He was in good care!"
"Ohh..." I smiled and my heart was alive again to see a familiar smile.
"Did you pay him a house visit?"
"A house visit? I visited everyday! I wanted to make sure personally that he is well."
"That is really kind of you chingu."
"It's part of the job."
"That's more then that I think." He held my hand. "And he doesn't know anything of... what is happening?"
"Nothing. But he is making me feel better though. We had dinner just now."
"Woh! Hold on. You went out with him to dinner?" His malicious smile came up on his lips, and I somehow felt unease.

"It-t's not w-what you think!"
"Ah-huh." Okay, I did not sound so convincing. And that is because I am not so convinced myself that it was just dinner. There is something more... but no! We are friends...
"Tae tae really! We just had dinner!"
"So no juicy stuff?"
"Hey!" I hit him playfully on the chest.
"Okay fine! But there is no denying that something is up..." he looked at me with his judging eyes, and I felt somewhat pressured. He always did that when I kept a secret.

"Don't give me that look! There is nothing."
"I think you just don't want to admit that, but it's true."
"No!"
"That you have feelings for each other."
Once he said that, it's like the world stopped. I never wanted to think that way, I just pushed it aside. But If I am truly honest, yes. Something about his is... very different then everybody else.

"Okay changing subject!" I said out loud. "It's pretty late, why won't you sleep over here for tonight okay?"
"Ohhh yay! Sleepover!"
"Uhh yeah sure." I laughed. "And tomorrow, please catch some rest while I am working. You can stay for as long as you like."
"Oh, I'm not returning to the company?"
"Not yet my friend... have a day off just in case. You head must hurt from the overflow of information so it's okay to rest for a day."
"Thank you!!!" He hugged me so tightly, until my lungs almost came out of my mouth.

Yup, Taehyung is back.

The following day was better then the one before. I felt energized and motivated to work. I was so happy Taehyung was back, it's just feels like everything falls into place! Finally!

I walked in the company so happy and elated, that even JinWoo noticed something has happened.
"Lucy-ssi!" He called me. "Are you okay?" He looked at me like I was some alien or something.
"More then okay! I have a big announcement!"
"Okay, what's the announcement?"
"I have to go to the CEO first, then I'll tell the crew."
"Okay... you're scaring me that you're so happy all of the sudden..."

I went up to Bang Si-hyuk's office. However, something was off about him. I cannot put my finger on it, but he was strange today.
"Oh Lucy! Please come in."
"Thank you PD-nim." I entered and sat on the chair right in front of him.
"So, I actually wanted to call you up here but since you came on your own please start." Hmm... now I am sure I did something wrong. But what? I did my job as required! He never had any complaints!
"Uhh okay. Well, I am pleased to say that Taehyung's memories are fully restored!"
