Sa'theneras struggled against the ropes binding his wrist together. What is a simple transumer meant to do in this instance? He's physically weak, lacking his spell book, without a focus or martials, and most importantly tied up on the floor in front of the all feared king of pirates. He felt his terror burn in his veins like white hot metal.
"Are you going to kill me," he asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
"I'm not sure yet," a smirk was painted on the other's face.
"But I'm your brother, Assa-," he was cut off before he could finish. Grey eyes fixed on him in anger and a red tint growing on the king's tanned skin.
"DO NOT CALL ME THAT," he roared. "The name is Abhainn, not Assan. I will not go by the name that witch calls me by! And I am no brother to those who stand by her side!" By the end he was clenching the dagger so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
Sath swallowed a lump forming in his throat. Struggling to find his words. After a moment he let his head fall, looking at the wood below him.
Abhainn seemed to take this as an invitation to continue. "She betrayed the crown. She chose to do terrible things to innocent people! She killed the man that made our family nobility, Sa'theneras! AND SHE'S STILL TRYING TO FUCKING KILL HIS SON!" Sath felt tears threatening to leave his eyes as Abhainn fully gave up on controlling himself. "AND YOU WORTHLESS PIECES OF SHIT HELPED HER," he was so loud at this point the others on the ship were sure to hear it.
Sath's white hair now hangs in his face as he takes a shaky breath before he spoke. "I know and I regret it so much," his voice was a mere whimper as tear began to trickle out of his mint green eyes. He couldn't bring himself to look up, shame building in his chest. "But she terrifies me, I can't disobey her with the other's still there. I can't risk getting them in trouble. You've seen what she does......what she's done...."
Abhainn runs a hand through his own jet black hair, thinking for a moment. He lets out a weary sigh, "I have but that doesn't excuse the blood on your hands. And given what you overheard, I can't let you leave."
Sath just nodded.
"Vir, you know what to do with him," Abhainn said as he turned to the elven woman that had been standing so quietly they'd both almost forgotten she was there. The redhead nodded as she walked over and drug Sath to his feet.
Sath could barely keep his footing as she pulled him from the room. Vir wasn't exactly being gentle with him either, just trying to get him in a cell as quickly as possible. Sath was hauled into the depths of the ship and tossed face first into his new home. As Vir walked away, he sobbed.
