The carnival

It's carnival season. A lot of carnivals occur here in main city Tokyo at this time of the year and likewise there was gonna be many this year as well.

And like any other year, of course I was planning on going to one carnival at least. Me and the boys always go to a lot of the carnivals that are held every year and this year was gonna be no different.

Or so I thought.

Today's just like any other weekend. I'm here at the cafe with Suzue Tsunade sitting right at that one table she always sits at with her phone in her hand and her regular cafe latte in front of her.

She's scrolling away in her phone, occasionally smiling and taking sips from her coffee as I can't help but watch her beautiful self from afar.

I love the fact that Suzue has made coming to the cafe her regular thing, makes me get to see her more.

It has been a long time since the camp and Suzue's drunken confession and I've somewhat managed to stop myself from thinking too much about it.

I would even sometimes go to Makki and talk to him about it, helped me feel better taking to someone about this.

To be precise, I already knew what Makki was gonna say but all that I needed was for someone else to tell me to make me face reality.

I know Suzue was crazy drunk, I know she probably blurted out nonsense from the influence of those drinks, I'm pretty well aware that she doesn't even remember that, but it still got the best of me.

At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm developing feelings towards Suzue and I don't know if this is the right thing to do.

Suzue and I both enjoy our company and from what it seems Suzue likes us being close as well. I don't know exactly what's going on in her mind and I don't want to ruin our relation that we have right now.

So I really don't know if I should be developing this sort of feeling towards her.

I leave the counter to Yachi and make my way to her as she's still going through her phone.

"Wow! I didn't know that!"

"Know what?"

"That there were so many carnivals held here in Tokyo!"

"Yeah. Since it's the capital a whole lotta carnivals are held here."

"Amazing! In Kyoto, there were just 3/4 at max."

"Wanna go together?!"

"Oh what's this!? Are you asking me on a date?!"

"Maybe I am!"

Suzue looks surprised. Her eyes were wide with her cheeks all red. But soon that expression changes and a sleek smirk forms across her face.

"Sure if it's a date then I'll go!?"

What!?

Suzue replies quoting the 'date' in a way that she's trying to indicate the fact that she'll go only if it's a date. This makes my heart flutter in a million ways.

Suzue's becoming bolder day by day. For some reason my heart starts beating so fast I bet anyone can hear it if they're too close.

"Hm! Such a bold answer from our ever so blushing Suzue I see!"

I tease her a bit and it works. All the blood rushes to her cheeks making them bright red as she tries to hide her face with her hand making me chuckle.
