I had met Lee outside the house we were moving into, a beautiful red brick, bay-windowed beauty. Beautiful flowers outside the front door, pink and blue on one side, then purple and orange on the other. Orange leaves cascaded across the pathway and Lee pointed to me to go inside.

The front door was the most beautiful white gloss, with the number 88 on it "88 Mulberry Grove, all ours baby!" Lee said proudly with a grin on his beautifully handsome face and inside was just as beautiful, the hallway leading to the kitchen and living room was painted a bright white, no furniture as of yet but it was huge and gorgeous. I wandered into the kitchen, tiled a beautiful white brick complimented with gorgeous marble side tops. The stairs were long and steep, a beautiful deep wood. On the top landing the bathroom was to the left side and a room opposite the bathroom, we wandered into it and Lee smiled "Our room!" he said and he had a mattress on the floor "Where did you get it!" I said and he laughed "I have my ways!" he said and I grinned and he muttered "Now for the best part!" and guided me out of our room back into the hallway "Come with me!" He said and he walked around a curved part of the upstairs hallway and I see a mini wooden staircase "Hi!!!" I heard a little voice say and when I looked up I see Molly.

"Moo!!" I said and grinned and she giggled "Come see my room!" She said and I looked at Lee and grinned "Thank you, baby. I love you." I said and kissed his cheek. We wandered up the steep mini staircase into a large loft type room "Oh my!" I said aloud and Molly laughed "Beautiful right?" She said. She had a small mattress on the floor too and I turned to Lee "How-" I went to ask and he put his finger up to my lips "Shh!" He said and as we went back downstairs a knock on the door happened.

Lee answered and I waited in the hallway, a man was at the door "Sofa?" He said and I gasped "LEE! SERIOUSLY HOW!?" I said and he laughed "I told you, I know a few people" he said and laughed again. He guided the man into the living room where he wants the sofa to go, and the man called to another man in the van to come and help. My phone buzzed in my pocket bringing me back to the cold hard reality of my life as I see my best friend's name flash on my screen "Jiddles" and a heart emoji, it was a long-standing nickname of hers that I had come up with fifteen or so years ago. I pushed the answer button and put the phone to my ear turning my back on the living room and walking towards the kitchen and then the garden, I stared outside the kitchen window at the grassy small garden and said "Jiddles?" I said and I heard Stacey on the other end of the phone "Chlo?" She said "Kid, I need some help" She said and sounded scared.

"Stace? What's up?" I said and she breathed a sigh "It's Jade, the killer, they, erm, they text her, telling her she's next, she is having a panic attack and so am I if I'm honest with ya kid!" she said in her strong northern England accent and my heart stopped "The killer text Jade?" I said and then breathed "You need to call the police, now! tell them about the threat!" I said and Stacey's voice shook through the phone "Ok, I will call them now, I will call you once they been" She said and hung up. I felt I needed some space, a breather to comprehend all that had just happened, so I shouted to Lee that I was popping out.

The rain started to fall and I could smell the dewy scent and headed towards the forest for a moment of peace. I walked past the garages and my feet crunched under gravel "What a day" I said out loud and then began walking into the woods. I got a little further in then I heard footsteps, I spun around and questioned whether or not I should actually be here, by myself given the circumstances and wiped off the fear, the voice in my head telling me to shut up and stop being stupid. I wandered a little further in and the rain fell pretty heavy, I grabbed sat on a damp log and my phone buzzed. It was a text from an unknown number, a normal mobile number and it read "Jade might be next, but if opportunity knocks I will take any of you bitches down" and my blood ran cold and my hairs on my arms and neck stood up straight.

I jumped up from the log and started walking back towards the entrance of the woods, the rain pelting my shoulders and head and then I heard footsteps again, I spun around and see someone standing behind me, black hood and a black bandana covering their face. I screamed and ran, branches hitting my face and terror-filled me, I realised I was too far in the woods to get away so I decided to hide, in a bunch of trees which were thick and clustered together, I could hear the person running and branches snapping and a raindrop hit my nose when I stared up at the sky begging for me to get out alive when my phone buzzed "You can run, but you can't hide" the text said and I exhaled in and turned to run but the person was behind me, they grabbed hold of my arm and threw me sideways- then everything went black.
