8: "This is Mementos."

"We should go tell Morgana the good news," Ann says.

"No need. I saw it all happen," Morgana says from a grass area in the courtyard. "I knew we would win."

"What're you doin' out here?" Ryuji asks while crossing his arms.

Morgana makes his way over to the group, "I didn't want to stay in the classroom by myself."

"Ah, well at least you were able to witness Y/n lose too."

"Geez, I get it already. Way to rub salt in the wound," you groan. "So what's the plan?"

"We'll talk about everything after school," Ren says. "Let's meet up at the hideout."

"Got it."
"Alright."
Ryuji and Ann say at the same time.

"You guys already have a hideout? How sure were you that I was gonna lose?" You say shocked.

'Crap. Have I underestimated them completely?'

"We already had a hideout before you came along. We didn't explore the palace in a day ya know," Ryuji says with a chuckle.

"We'll get there eventually," Ren says determinedly. The school bell rings, informing everyone break time was now over.

"That's us. Let's head back," Morgana says.

"We'll see you later," Ren says with a nod goodbye. He, Morgana, and Ann walk off together and you sigh at Ren's retreating form.

"Come on, you're already on our teacher's shit list. Let's not make it worse by bein' late," Ryuji teases while gently elbowing your side.

You tsk and flick his forehead. "Not funny," you grumble. He laughs as he puts his arms up to protect himself. The two of you walk to class together and you found it rather hard to pay attention to the lessons until the end of the school day.

"Alright class, that's all for today. Read chapters 12-15 as homework and write a summary. You are dismissed."

The class shuffles as they put away their belongings and quickly exit the classroom. You too were ready to go home, only now you had another responsibility to add to your plate.

"Sooo, ya ready?" Ryuji says excitedly, standing in front of your desk while rubbing his hand together.

"Lead the way," you say standing up. You follow Ryuji up to the third floor and then go up the stairs again onto the rooftop. "This was your hideout the entire time?"

"Pretty sweet, right?"

"It's in plain sight. Anyone could find it... hell, I found it and I'm no Sherlock Holmes."

Ryuji opens the door to reveal Ren, Ann, and Morgana waiting on some of the desks that were being stored up on the rooftop.

"We're all here," Morgana says taking notice of your entrance.

You and Ryuji approach the group and he sits down on one of the desks next to Ren. Ann smiles and scoots over while patting the desk she was on, offering you a seat beside her. You nod and sit down next to her.

"Then let's officially start the first meeting of the Phantom Thieves," Ren speaks up.

"First things first," Morgana says jumping onto the center desk. He walks to the side directly in front of you and he sits. "Y/n, we all agreed before the bet ended, that if you didn't want to join us, we didn't want to force you. You can leave if you want."

You sit up straight look at all of them in shock as they wait for your response. "Seriously?" You ask with a furrowed brow.

'Why?'
