Chapter 16.

I stand there, frozen in fear. I hold my breath as Niall just stares at me in shock. I want to speak but nothing is able to come out of my throat. It's completely silent. It's bad enough Niall overhead but if Ashton heard, I was dead. I let my head hang down, disappointed in myself. I guide myself to my bed, sitting on the edge then tugging on my hair in frustration. It was hard to hold back my tears. I really fucked up didn't I? 

I hear someone walking up to me and sitting on the bed besides me. An arm wraps around me, making my body tense up. "Harry..." I hear that Irish accent say. "How much did you hear?" I mumble, not showing my face yet. I let my hair fall over my face, still staring down at my lap. Niall pulls himself closer to me. "I heard the whole thing... I wanted to come over to ask for pajamas for Ashton but I ended up just eavesdropping on you.. I'm sorry.." I don't see Niall's expression. I can't face him right now, I feel so guilty and stupid. What's wrong with me?

"Did Ashton hear?" I whisper, my lip quivering

"Nope, he's back at my room." He tells me

I finally look at him, tears rimming my eyes. I blink rapidly, trying to get rid of them but of course that doesn't help too much. What was he going to do? Was he gonna tell Ashton? Or even worse, Emily or Louis? Was he going to make a joke to lighten up our moods like he always does? Was he going to yell at me?

"Look, Harry. I don't like Emily, you know that. And I kind of called the idea of you and Zayn being together and as much as I want to say I told you so, you still need to do the right thing and tell Emily, alright? Other than that I don't care. I just don't want you getting hurt, you know how her brother and Louis are..." Niall gives me a small smile

His smile almost instantly makes my lips curve up into a weak smile. I pull him into a tight hug. You're quite the hugger tonight aren't you? I nuzzle my face in his neck, closing my eyes. His hand rubs up and down my back comfortingly. We just sit there for a minute then I remember Luke was still here. I pull away from the hug and look back at Luke. He was awkwardly standing there, his feet pointing inwards with one on top of the other. It was kind of cute. 

"I'll get you those pajamas.. and just give me a couple of weeks to think this through, having a difficult time with it all you know? I've been trying to tell Emily but I just can't do it..." I smile in embarassment because I was so weak. I walk to my drawer and pull out one of my Rolling Stone's t-shirts and black pajama pants. Niall takes them, kissing my cheek after. "Thanks. Good luck Harry." he smiles, walking off with the pajama's hanging on his shoulder. 

After smiling apologetically at Luke, we make our way to the kitchen. The talk with Niall was easier and went better than I thought it would go. We both grab the mini tubs of ice cream. He gets Chocolate Fudge Brownie while I grab myself a Rocky Mountain. I run to the livingroom, turning on the xbox and going onto Netflix. "We're gonna watch a movie alright?" I grab the controller and take a seat on the couch, scrolling through the categories of movies. "Fine fine" Luke smiles sweetly, sitting down next to me.

In the end, we settled for Titanic. Its been ages since I've seen this movie! I almost forgot how heart breaking and sad it was. Luke showed me The Boy In The Striped Pajamas and holy shit, I was crying my eyes out. It was so sad and it makes it worse knowing that the event going on in it actually happened. Luke sniffles, shoving a spoonful of the ice cream into his mouth as tears stream down his face. I let out a choked sob, quickly swallowing down the ice cream in my mouth. "He can't do that! There has to be something else for him to lay on!" Luke cries out, wiping his wet face.
