BEAST in ME

PART 13

BEA POV

BEA: "They were after her."

I exclaimed right away to Luther and Nexus. The three of us were having a conversation at the living room. When I arrived home, I told them what I saw and happened in the restaurant.

LUTHER: "After who?"

BEA: "Jia."

LUTHER: "And so?"

He sounded so disinterested for me. I was a bit surprise why he is acting this way.

BEA: "She is in danger."

It seems like he takes the situation for granted.

LUTHER: "Look. It is not our concern anymore."

I hate this kind of conversation when he acts disinterested about things. I am already in a panick mode but he is in a standby mode.

BEA: "Her life is in danger and she doesn't know it. She needs our help. She is not aware that some werewolf were after her. She was not even aware awhile ago that a werewolf was glaring at her."

I am trying to make a point about the urgency of the matter. I am desperate now.

LUTHER: "If they were after her, it has nothing to do with you or with us. As long as they were not after you or not hurting you, it is not our concern. So, why bother yourself?"

And now, I can feel and see emotions from him but not the one I wanted to hear and see from him. I couldn't believe I am hearing it from him now. He is not willing to help.

BEA: "Of course, it does. They belong to our kind."

LUTHER: "Look, it is too dangerous to meddle in their business. You know nothing about them. We don't know what they are capable of. It will just bring us harm."

He was looking at me and trying his best to pursuade me.

BEA: "But they are going to kill her. If they did not succeed in the first attempt, they will definitely not fail in the second one. They will make sure of it. Please try to understand, she is in danger."

LUTHER: "Okay. Let's just say you are going to help her. How are you going to do that?! Are you going to fight those werewolves when they attack her?!"

And now he is mad. I just wanted to help. What is wrong about helping?!

BEA: "I don't know. I will, if I have too."

LUTHER: "And then what? Get yourself killed?!"

His voice is louder this time. But I don't care if he is mad, I just wanted to help. Why is he thinking that I am the one gonna get killed?! He knows that I can take care of myself. It is Jia that needs protection and help.

BEA: "But I can't just wait here and do nothing, knowing that someones out there gonna get hurt or worst she'll die."

My voice is a bit higher than awhile ago. I am a bit pissed because he doesn't want to help.

LUTHER: "We can't do anything about that."

He said firmly and I am disappointed. While Luther and I are both having a not so good arguments, Nexus was just quietly looking and listening. I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

BEA: "I know we are werewolves but I am human too. And I don't want people to die because someone of my kind did it."

And then I stood up and walks out. With a heavy heart, I go directly to my room. I am fully disappointed. I felt so bad now because I couldn't do anything.
