Too Many Halls

True to Vaughn's word, they had spent the first period getting to know the people in their section and a few from other sections. John had figured out most of the section leaders by now, he just wasn't sure about a few of them. All too song, a bell rang throughout the hall. "Alright, that signals that some of us have to get to class. High school students, please refer to your schedules, college students, you should already know where you're going by now." Kuyo announced as he slung a bag over his shoulder. "Oh yeah, and uh, upperclassmen should show the newbies where to go." He added. "Ciao!" John watched as Kuyo practically skipped away to go bother some others.

John looked around awkwardly at the others. They were talking amongst each other and a few were getting ready to leave, but he had no clue where he was supposed to be going. "Um..." John turned at the timid voice of Leona. "I can show you to your classes if you want." Johns face turned a light shade pink before he quicky nodded. "Uh y-yeah. I mean sure, I mean yes please!" John's face turned bright red as she chuckled at him and he mentally punched himself in the face before following the pink hair girl out of the band hall. "This place is easy to get lost in. It has multiple stories and so many halls that we have up to hall 1H." John's jaw dropped, 'there's that many halls! That's almost the whole alphabet twice!' He quickly closed his mouth, swallowing the saliva that had built up.

Leona giggled, "that's often the reaction we get. I honestly understand the amount of halls though. This school houses both high school and college students. It is necessary for it to be big." John hummed, 'I guess she's right about that.' Still, he couldn't help but shudder at the thought of getting lost in one of these hallways.

They walked for what seemed like miles, passing by several students and a few staff members. There was one thing John noticed though. Every students was wearing the uniform, however...

He was the only one wearing the vest!

John gulped, the uniform came with dark blue-almost black-pants or a skirt and leggings depending on your gender, a matching tie or bow, a white button up, a blue blazer, and a grey vest. But it seemed like everyone he passed had ditched the vest. Out of the no doubt hundreds of students he'd seen so far, he had only seen one or two wearing a vest.

It made him feel slightly awkward. Was it normal hear to not wear the vest? Was he the outcast by keeping the vest on? He whimpered holding his hand close to his chest in a small attempt to hide his shame. Leona passed him a confused look but  shrugged it off before coming to a stop. "Here ya go, here's your first class." John looked up seeing the classroom door open and a few students inside. "Thanks, you aren't gonna be late to your class are you?" Leona shook her head. "Passing period is ten minutes long due to the size of the school." John gawked again. "So I still have plenty of time to get to my class." Leona smiled.

John nodded, "Oh...well um, thank you for bringing me to my class?" Leona's smile widened. "You're welcome. Have a good day John." She waved before turning around and leaving for her own class. John stared at her back for a little while longer before he turned back to the class room and walked in. Immediately he locked eyes with the purple haired violinist. She looked back at him for a split second before looking back toward the front. John sighed before he made his way over to her. "Hey...we uh, we keep seeing each other everywhere we go so um, I'm John." He stuck his hand out as an offer for them to shake hands but the violinist merely glanced at him before turning away once more.

'Okay, not the sociable type. That's okay though, I'm sure we can still talk at some point.' John decided he would sit in the desk to the right of her, not catching how she threw him an annoyed look as he sat. John sighed happily and leaned back in his seat. This place was definitely not New Bostin and it would take a lot of time for him to get used to it. Eventually, the bell rang once more and their teacher entered the room. "Okay class, I'm your teacher-"

"Sorry we're late!" The door swung open once more as two boys rushed into the room, the same boys John noted, that had ran into the band hall screaming about being late. This teacher, however, didn't seem phased at all. "Class this Blyke," She pointed at the redhead. "and Isen." She pointed at the kid with orange and black hair. "Known throughout the school for always being late on the first day." The door boys sheepish at one another before moving to go take a seat. "Sorry ma'am." Blyke muttered.

"It's quite alright, I was informed I would be having you two so I was prepared." John stifled a laugh. 'How embarrassing, to be known throughout the school as the two kids who are always late.' He thought, before he once again remembered his situation with the vest. Although, there was a blue haired girl in his classroom that was wearing the vest as well, so he didn't feel too bad. John relaxed into his seat as the teacher began with basic introductions about the class.
