Poem: The Mask

The mask I wear

Calm and brave

This isn't how I really behave

Under the mask of pride

I'm a slave, a prisoner

Down in the dungeon of my mind

I only hope to find

All my troubles will be left behind

So now I wait in hiding

My world slowly subsiding

The mask I wear

Abiding
