A poetic fragment from a 7-part lyric essay about my relationship between lost things and religion. This first one engages with my love for found objects. I love discovering lost things with seemingly little value that, in turn, become so ostensibly valuable to me. I see God in my lost things for where I was lost, religion has found me. Just as I had presumed my worth and subsequently lost my way like the lost things had been discarded as waste, religion and spirituality revitalized my value and found me when I needed to be seen as belonging and when I needed to be rejuvenated as something of irrevocable meaning.

Several lines of an animistic look into tangible objects with a sense of realism combined with emotional energy in a romantic relationship. As the poem extends its reach you see the grasp of the author looking at himself before and after this introspective journey from the point of love and family.

There's a time for EVERYTHING... My inspiration for writing this poem came from reading Psalms 1 & Psalms 23 in the Bible. The message/theme of it is that everyone naturally changes for their own reasoning and this is nothing we as humans can control. Some changes are for better while others are for worse. Struggles occur often resulting in pain, and misery, but we should still be thankful because these things make us stronger individuals as we journey through this temporary matrix that we call life. Creativity is key, and it is birthed by passion that only the artist can define (God). Be blessed and don't be deceived.

There are some things in life that we all have to learn to let go of in order to receive something better. Whether it be a person, item, habit, or an addiction, there's always reasoning behind it. The choice is yours to make if you decide to change your ways or not by stepping out on your faith. Although it's not always a comfortable/pleasant process, each and every step have significant meaning in your growth. Every lesson isn't a loss, sometimes it's a blessing. How deep is your faith in God that He is capable of replacing something that He gave you with something even better? (Self-Evaluation) - Proverbs 3:5

Doing things in secret will eventually show itself. Your own guilt will reveal it. It plays a role in trusting people and how trusting in God gave me the freedom i'm currently living. The ability to trust others again with discernment. Side Note: The pronunciation is not meant to be taken seriously. This is due to the specific way I deliver the spoken word.
