Over the course of one summer, May brings danger to herself and her newly found friends-and possibly a new love-when she is drawn to helping others along the Underground Railroad.

A young girl's family provides a place of refuge for slaves on the underground railroad. One day, a girl her age shows up at there house on her way to freedom.

She befriends Colette and Colette illegally teaches her to write. One day as Colette is helping Lydia with her writing, she mentions the Underground Railroad. Lydia is fascinated and she needs to learn more. Lydia soon finds out about the Underground Railroad and learns about a potential chance at freedom. Will Lydia risk her life and friendship to be free, or will she stay as a slave forever? It wasn't just her slave who wanted to escape to the north

everyone stopped walking , stopped everything. they were all still, except me. Two boys, one badass teacher, many world's, many powers. A crazy lady who has the government tied around her finger. The teacher Daryl Dixon somehow managed to teleport into a world full of zombies and has to find his way back and maby a couple of people will tag along. Walking dead fanfic and maybe a little unlisted.

I hear hounds barking in the distance. They better not find where I hide. I am not going back to that retched place. Not ever again. The scars on my back say so. They are getting closer. I either have to run for it or trust that the hounds won't smell me. A twig snaps under a foot about ten yards away. I grab a small rock and throw with all my might to the left of where I hide. There is a light thunk, but it is enough. The dogs ears perk up and start sniffing in the direction of my pebble. I throw another small rock in the same direction. I hit a tree. A squirrel darts down the trunk a through the brush. The dogs take on the chase. The dogs owners, which call themselves bounty hunters, chase after the dogs. I make a run for it. I feel a hand grip my wrist and another hand stifle my scream.

A short story that I did for my english class, but it turned out decent so I decided to put it here. Robin is an escaping slave on the underground railroad. She travels with her 20 year old brother Isaac. She gets help along the way from another girl, the main character, names Lucy, who helps her mom man a slave house. It's decent.
