This is the first story in a series called Life of Raven. Raven has lost everything. Her brother, Jay, one of her sisters, Willow,  her remaining sister, Starry, is put in a twoleg nest, her father ran away, and her mother dies. She settles in a barn outside the twoleg nests' and deals with unexpected adventures, and realistic dreams. She soon joins the tribe of the drowning sun, unable to cope with living on her own.
