Darna (Miggy's Version)

In Miggy's version of Darna, the story takes place in an alternate universe where the events occur in Bangkok, Thailand.

Randa Liwanag, an openly gay Filipino man, moves to Bangkok with his best friend, Dean Sanchez, in hopes of having a better future in the city. While looking for jobs, they were caught up in an intense battle between the original Darna and the menacing Queen Ophidia, which ended in destructive tragedy.

One night, the spirit of the original Darna visits Randa, who passes down her magical stone to him. Seeing his good heart, she believes that he is worthy of becoming her successor as the next stone keeper.

On the other hand, the spirit of Queen Ophidia gathers all of her surviving henchmen to look for the stone and go after the new stone keeper.

With evil still lurking around the streets of Bangkok, it's now up to Randa to protect the people with the aid of the magical stone, and take on the mantle as the newest Darna.
