Clarke Summer has an attitude problem.

She hates her family, she hates her school and she hates her peers. And coming from a troubled past, she has never been able to shake the insecurities so brutally placed upon her.

She is flunking school, dating the neighbourhood 'bad boy' and has disrespected her parents for the last time. They need a plan to get their wayward daughter back on track.

And their plan is foolproof.

A summer job.

They need to not only find a place that would accept her rather bare application but also one that she couldn't escape from and would tickle her fancy- even slightly! And that is where the Ikaia Resort comes into play. Based on a Hawaiian Island, it ticked all the boxes.

✓ Had an urgent position open as a staff member to child care and run activities.
✓ Was an (almost) inescapable island meaning she couldn't leave halfway through.
✓ Could be disguised as a family holiday that she wouldn't mind attending.

But one thing Clarke's parents didn't account for in this foolproof plan was the Resort Owner's Son.

Grayson Dolan.

Even though he was the star student, sporty and ex-school captain, Grayson would send Clarke's mind in a whirl.

Up rooting all of Clarke's problems once and for all.
