Jungkook’s breath came in short, uneven gasps, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling.
Lost.
Afraid.
Uncertain.
His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, crashing into each other, loud and relentless. His heart pounded, his body trembled, and his eyes squeezed shut as tears gathered at the corners.
Then, warmth.
Gentle fingers threading through his hair, soft and steady, pulling him back—away from the storm, away from the noise, away from the fear.
He blinked, vision clearing, and met familiar baby-blue eyes. Jimin hovered above him, gaze steady, knowing. No words were needed. Just the quiet comfort of that touch, the silent promise in Jimin’s eyes, grounding him until the weight on his chest eased and he could breathe again.
A small smile played on Jimin’s lips as he whispered, “I’ve got you, baby.”
And just like that, Jungkook smiled back.
