FACE CLAIM: NORMAN JAYDEN (HEAVY RAIN | PORTRAYED BY LEON OCKENDEN)
VOICE CLAIM: SLY COOPER (SLY SERIES | VOICED BY KEVIN MILLER)
PROFILE:
ROWAN is a man in his mid-to-late twenties, with a lean build, and standing at nearly six feet tall, depending on his armor. he naturally has black hair, though he has a streak of blue to commemorate the persona he used to have back in his racing days. his eyes are of an icy blue, which can be particularly piercing when he's judging or glaring at someone, usually for a good reason. his face is neat, hardly letting hair grow beyond a slight stubble.
his usual armor consists of a [GEN. IV ADAPTIVE SUIT] bodysuit base, fitted with modular plating and helmet that is more fitting for light armor. that, paired with a custom-made [WIDOWFORGE WOLF SPIDER HELMET] grants the wearer the full range of capabilities of an EVA SUIT, COMBAT ARMOR and HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT SUIT, given the right modules are installed on the chest rig. the only piece of auxiliary equipment is the [JET KIT] built in-house by the fixers - small jetpacks worn around the waist that grants rowan the ability of navigation through complex geometry with deadly drops and deceleration on fatal descents to safe levels.
ROWAN is usually seen as someone who would wear his heart on a sleeve, unafraid and unashamed to call someone out whenever there's a bad decision at play. he's no stranger to clash with authority if he believes his choice is better than whatever command has planned. despite his outward appearance, he is deeply haunted by the mistakes he's made in the past, and would often think about whether or not there is something he could've done to prevent a tragedy that either happened to himself, or others. even if he may be compassionate, he's a great believer in revenge. he's not afraid to stoop to someone level if it means he's vindicated, though he'd rather do that sparingly.
the records related to rowan reynolds ever since the bastion massacre weren't anything noteworthy, but it is believed that not long after the insurrection has ended, he had either died or disappeared off the edge of the galaxy.
/ didn’t mean for this to be long, no need to match the length.. <3
Rubicon 3. What a dreadful place.
Once , it had felt like home. Now , it was nothing more than a decaying memory — one Veridus wished would stay buried. There was nothing left for him there. No friends. No purpose. Nothing.
Purpose. That was what they had promised him once. A reason to fight. A reason to serve. But that promise crumbled the moment he learned his fate: submit to re-education , or die for refusing.
So he ran.
He ran farther than he ever thought possible , yet the paranoia never loosened its grip. It followed him wherever he went. Now he found himself in the Sol star system , far from the Rubicon star system , staying on one of Jupiter’s colonies. For the moment , it was the safest place he could be. Even so , he could never stop looking over his shoulder. Every lingering glance felt like someone watching him. Every stranger seemed like a spy. He lived beneath a false name , changing identities whenever he had to , convinced the Vespers were always one step behind.

rowan couldn't help but crack a small, knowing smile. « i hear you. » he nodded in an understanding manner. oblivious to the whole picture, but still well-meaning. pausing for a moment, another thought had crossed the fixer's mind, and his hand immediately reached for one of the numerous pouches on his belt, extracting a pact of cigarettes from back home. he put an unlit cigarette between his lips, and kept the pack in his hand in case the other pilot wanted to try some.
lighting it up, he'd take a moment to better take in and register the numerous dent and scratches on CONTRAIL. that did raise a few, small questions in his head... it didn't look like those combat scars have been fixed or buffed out in a long while which seemed unlike for someone who's supposed to be part of the vespers. did something happen? how much did he miss about rubicon after that day?
« i see... » he quietly took a small drag, not immediately looking away from the AC and back to veridus. « i tried to somewhat keep up with the news over there. i know shit was overall terrible, but could you give me an idea of what's been happening? » a small request he made, out of curiosity.
[@-wayfinder] The voice pulled the man from his wandering thoughts. He raised his head , his attention settling on Rowan. Who was this man ? Why had he approached him ? His face was unfamiliar — or perhaps it wasn’t , and Veridus had simply chosen not to remember. These days , he cared little for names or faces , save for the one person he had come to love , only to lose them to the very same mercenary who had taken the Redguns member Rowan once knew. Unbeknownst to either of them , they carried the same wound. Closing the lighter with a soft click , Veridus slipped it into the pocket of his official Arquebus flight jacket. His gloved hand lingered there while the other rested in the opposite pocket , his posture calm but guarded. “ Yes , ” he answered quietly , his voice carrying its usual flat tone. “ This is my AC. ” He hadn’t intended to sound cold , though it often came across that way. “ I left for . . . personal reasons. I’ll admit , I’m long way from home , but that doesn’t trouble me. I prefer it that way. ” His words faded as he tipped his head back to look at the machine towering above him. Its dark plum armor gleamed beneath the hangar lights , every dent and scratch telling the story of countless battles. Veridus had earned a reputation as a speed demon on the battlefield — an opponent notoriously difficult to hit , though never impossible. After a quiet moment , his gaze returned to the stranger. “ Rubicon is no longer home to me , ” he said evenly. “ I’m grateful I left .”
« hey... » he waved with a friendly smile, before turning a moment to gesture towards the AC stationed « i assume that AC there is yours, right? didn't expect to see someone from rubicon this far out here... »
