I just wanted to leave a quick note about the next chapter and my little break. I’m dealing with a bit of writer’s block, so I decided to spend most of my free time outside now that winter is finally over. I also need to get used to going back to uni and work again (I hate that, lol)
The new chapter should be coming at the end of the week, or at the latest Monday/Tuesday. It depends on how long it ends up being.
I also have a question for you guys. Since the slow burn is slowly burning, I’m not going to lie – I’m a little scared of messing it up and pushing things too fast and destroying all the tension.
What would you like to see in the next chapters? More subtle touches? A bolder Willow? Maybe a bit of jealousy?
If you have any specific scenes, random ideas, or just want to share your thoughts, don’t be afraid to comment here or send me a message on my social. It can be anything – I’d love to expand my ideas, because right now it feels like they’re orbiting around the same repetitive patterns.

I want to maintain the energy of Ashcroft being in her denial state, slowly starting to admit her feelings for Willow, while Willow stays confused and completely unable to take a hint. I like keeping their dynamic through teasing each othwr - both unwilling to admit their feelings - but still pushing each other and, at the same time, growing closer, I hope that make sense?? Hahaha
@Cantti_ i kinda think ashcroft should be bold but like cherry doesn't get the hint since she still thinks she's straight?? and like continue ashcroft being mean to her face but loving talking to her!
@ luvintai_ there will be more flirty moments and jealousy, but the slow burn isn't ending yet. There will also be a lot of drama between them, tho I'm not sure about involving Scarlett and Black!

@Khansahab455677 ah frozen desire, what an incredible book it is. I still don’t know how my book will end, but I will try my best to give it a happy ending. As for suggestions, I really enjoy other books by pencilpoetry. Some of my favorite books by other authors are Understood by littleadmiration, Unwritten by miIflvr, and my absolute favorite – Illicit Affair by MILFLUVABLE c:

It might be off by a day, since I don’t have my full work schedule yet. Please keep in mind that my writing time depends on many things beyond my control, and I’d rather publish something good than a story that leaves you wondering why you clicked “read.”

It’s been a while since the last chapter, and some of you have been wondering when the next one will be published. I know I promised it would be out in the second week of January, but I didn’t have enough time to write. It’s a really busy period for me - work, university, and the number of exams I have is honestly killing me. Obviously, the time I have for writing is very limited.
I was hoping I’d be able to post this week, but I probably won’t. This Saturday I have my last big exam, which I’m really stressed about. If I pass this one, I’ll have the whole of February free from university work, aside from my bachelor’s project. That means I’ll be able to post more regularly then.
I’m really sorry for keeping you waiting for so long. As you can imagine, I’d much rather write in my free time than study, but that’s just how life is.
Thank you all for your support and for sticking with me - I’m really, really grateful. It truly brightens my day whenever I see notifications from your comments, kudos, and other messages. It means more to me than you probably realize.
