Chapter 24 Spoilers:

          Luo lowered him quickly onto the floor.
          
          Pei Su didn’t move. His chest wasn’t rising.
          
          For one second Luo just stared.
          
          No.
          
          No no no.
          
          “Pei Su!”
          
          His hands trembled as he grabbed Pei Su’s face, tapping his cheek hard.
          
          “Pei Su! Wake up!”
          
          Nothing.
          
          Panic surged through Luo like a violent shock.
          
          He tilted Pei Su’s head back quickly, pressing two fingers to his neck.
          
          No pulse.
          
          Or maybe his own hands were shaking too much to feel it.
          
          “F*ck—”
          
          His voice cracked.
          
          Behind him Luo’s mother gasped.
          
          “Oh my god—”
          
          Luo barely heard any of it.
          
          He was already moving.
          
          He placed one hand over the other in the center of Pei Su’s chest.
          
          Then he started compressions.
          
          Hard.
          
          Fast.
          
          “You can't do this, Come on… come on…”.
