I am Ndubuisi Onyeacholam, an award winner of Ambys 2025. I am a poet, sonneteer, and lawyer by training. I hail from Imo State, Nigeria, and proudly identify as an Igbo man. My early education began at Umunoha Community School, followed by Archdeacon Dennis Junior Seminary, Mbieri. I later earned my law degree from Imo State University, and today I live with my family in Port Harcourt, where I practice law.
Poetry, especially the sonnet, is my passion and my ritual. I write in a traditional form with my signature rhyme scheme: AABB CDCD EEFF GG. This pattern is my hallmark, the distinguishing feature of every sonnet I compose. For me, writing is catharsis - a rite of passage, a way to channel emotion and meaning into words.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Read, reflect, and if my work speaks to you, share it so that others may discover it too. Your participation can help my voice reach a wider audience, especially those who need it.
