Varian looked up into Rapunzel's eyes as did he look at his other friends who were all sobbing. Queen Arianna made her way over to Varian bent down looking in his tear filled eyes as he imbraced him in a hug saying "I'm sorry..I'm so sorry you couldn't help your friend..Queen Arianna looked into his eyes continuing.."but just remember we will help you find a way to get back to her no matter what it takes." Varian wiped his eyes as she helped Varian to his feet along with Quirin who was smiling at her. King Frederic had Nigel and the guards who tried hurting Varian thrown into the dungeons and everyone went to bed even Quirin and Varian stayed the night. Next day Varian was given the items he'd need to restore the pocket watch to how it once was, all it need was some electricity to get it working.

Remyus the castle's medicine and doctor was taking care of Nigel's bleeding and bruised nose as King Frederic and Queen Arianna stood by Rapunzel and her friends who all had horrified looks on their faces as Quirin was guarding Varian with his life glaring at Nigel as Varian was getting to the last part of his story where he was screaming out to Grace as he was pulled through the portal! Varian finished screaming "I couldn't save her I should have been by her side to protect HER I COULDN'T SAVE GRACE!!" Nigel enraged screamed "THERE'S NOBODY NAMED GRACE!! THESE ARE FAULTS MEMORIES GRACE ISN'T REAL!!" King Frederic enraged belowed "NIGEL THAT'S ENOUGH SHUT UP!!?" Varian screaming loudly while sobbing looking up at the sky shouting "AHHHH HAA AGHH!!! GRACE I'M SORRY!? I'M SO SORRY I COULDN'T SAVE YOU!? GRACE!? GRACE! GRACE!!? Sobs!" Varian crumbled to the floor sobbing as his dad rubbed Varian's back as Rapunzel slowly walked over getting down on her knees asking "Var...Varian? I'm not sure what you experienced in that freedom land but I really wish to help you as best me and my friends can?"

Rapunzel and her friends were enraged screamed "Why are you taking him to the dungeons he hadn't done anything WRONG!!? WHAT DID HE DO TO BE TAKEN THERE!?" Nigel screamed back "THAT YOUNG MAN BRAIN IS CLEARLY UNSTABLE SO HE NEEDS TREATMENT THAT'S ENOUGH OUT OF THE LOT OF YOU!? WE'LL SEE TO HIS BRAIN GETS RECHARGED AND CLEARED OF THESE FAULTS IMAGINATION MEMORIES!!" As Nigel turned around a strong fist punched Nigel hard in the nose by Quirin who had rescued his son after taking out the guards holding Varian during the screaming! Rapunzel and her friends were surprised as her parents rushed outside to all the noise as King Frederic asked "What's going on here!?" Rapunzel exclaimed "Let's all go to the throne room!"

Varian panicking explains "No no no you don’t understand I need to go back there GRACE WAS BEING KIDNAPPED!!" Rapunzel and her friends look at each other confused as Nigel with some guards showed up do to the shouting. Varian in panic jumps to his feet trying to run away as Eugene and Rapunzel grabbed his arms holding him back as screaming "NO NOOOOOO I MUST GO BACK AND SAVE HER!!? GRACE NEEDS ME! SHE'LL SHUFFER AT THE HANDS OF THAT MAN IF I DON'T GO BACK PLEASE?!! GRACE...GRACE OUF!!?" Suddenly Nigel hit Varian on the left side of his head knocking him out as he glares at Varian who collapsed to the ground. Rapunzel and her friends upset rushed over asking "What are you doing!? WHY DID YOU KNOCKING HIM OUT NIGEL!?" Nigel explained "The young man has lost his mind he's lost sense of reality! MEN TAKE HIM TO THE DUNGEONS RIGHT NOW!?" 

Varian looked out the window seeing a army green land cruiser stopped in the road near Grace and in panic Varian ran down the stairs out the front door screaming " Grace...Grace..GRACE GET AWAY FROM THAT VEICLE!?" A 40 year old man with thin grey hair and beard got out of the cruiser quickly approaching the scared little girl. Before Varian could stop him the blue swirling portal reappeared behind him as a lasso roped around his waist as he tried to reach out to her but the rope was pulling him back to the portal. Just as the man was about to grab her Varian screamed "Stop...STOP IT LEAVE HER ALONE!? GET AWAY FROM HER!? Grace!? Grace...GRACE NOOOOO!?" Varian's voice echoed as he was pulled through the portal with a strong pull as Grace looked up at him as the man grabbed her right hand as she screamed as she reached out to Varian! Varian blacked out as he went through the portal then after 3 minutes he woke up blinked looking up at Rapunzel and her friends who were all looking down at him with concern on their faces. Varian sat up quick as Eugene grabbed his shoulders saying, "Hey...hey buddy don't sit up so fast? You'll get rather dizzy." Varian looked around asking "What happen....WAIT THE PORTAL WHERE'S THE PORTAL!?" Varian screamed the last part with a wide eyes and very scared look on his face!

Grace and Varian help Gladuss around the house then help her with making lunch before she allows them to go play in the wheat field out front before lunch time. By now Jefferson had gone deep into the woods to inspect the dead body found. As Varian and Grace are playing hide and seek in the wheat field not noticing a big pit bull approaching them baring its teeth as it growling before charging towards  the two just as the police with Jefferson exited the woods when they heard Grace's screaming they looked up to see the dog biting her left hand before Varian used alchemy to splash in the dog's eyes making the dog yelp and whine as he let go as it ran away towards the police who shot the dog dead with its eyes and face burning away shows bone. Jefferson looked up seeing Varian taking care of Grace's left hand before Varian fainted. Later after dinner Jefferson told Gladuss about what happened believing Varian is hiding something from them. Gladuss tells him to not bother Varian about his past anyways he saved Grace. Dreaded August 3rd Jefferson was in the farm dealing with the animals and Gladuss had driven into town to get more food as Varian and Grace played in the wheat field out front of the house, what they didn't know was Varian had to run into the house to get his satchel full of alchemy potions and books and gifts Grace gave him even 3 photos of Grace.

Varian stays with the Fawn family for months lean new things about the inventions and helping around the farm, playing with Grace and in return she teaches him more about their country. The only thing that the family forbids is that they are to never go into the dead woods across the street from the house cause ever time a child or pet goes into those woods the vanished or are later found dead because of a serial killer living in those woods. On August 1st Varian heard what sounded like screams coming from the woods that night. Varian closes the windows curtains laying going to sleep. August 2nd in the morning Varian comes outside to see his first encounter with American police or American guards. Varian saw Jefferson coming back to the house after he asked them what happened. Varian asked what happened while Jefferson got him belt with a strange weapon known as a gun on it. Jefferson explained his a retired police officer who had to go with them into the woods to investigate the area. He told Varian to stay at the house keep Grace safe and stay inside the yard or house no further away from the field into the woods.
