Chapter 35- Week 3 part 4

Cole was so fast I almost didn’t see it, one moment he was on the other side of the room and then the next he was right in front of Jayden with his hands around his brothers neck. I was terrified partly because I was just thrown into a sofa and part because it really looked like Cole was going to kill his brother at any moment. 

Jayden was still grinning like an idiot, when the sliding doors to the sitting room were pushed opened revealing Eleanor and Kendall who looked just as surprised as I did at the scene in front of them. 

Without hesitation Eleanor shouts at Cole, “Cole what on earth are you doing! Release your brother now!” but it seemed Cole had other plans because he ignored his mother and kept on glaring murderously at a still grinning Jayden. 

Once Eleanor noticed Cole wasn’t trying to back off, she shot a frustrated look towards Nolan, “Nolan, don’t just stand there and watch, do something!”

As he did me Nolan shook his head, “Like I told Ms. Amelia here, they brought this on themselves, I will not intervene.”

As we all see Cole readying himself to throw Jayden again, Eleanor yells for Kendall to stop them and so he does, quickly rushing towards them in seconds then pulling them apart and tossing them both on different sides of the room. Kendall then turns his attention to me, “Are you alright?” he asks as he looks me over once.

I nod my head a few times, not being able to speak just yet as I try to understand what just happened. Everything happened so fast. It went from ten to a hundred out of nowhere. I still was trying to get over the fact that Jayden had kissed me yet again and to make matters even more confusing Cole had seemed … Jealous, if I could even call it that.

Almost as if she had read my mind, Eleanor asked the question I wanted to ask before I could find my voice, “What is going on here?!” she asked surprise and anger dripping from her tone.

There was silence for only a second before Jayden spoke first, “Nothing, just proving a point,” He says and for some reason that comment angers me. It was like he was saying the only reason he kissed me was to get some type of reaction out of Cole and if that was the case… then it worked.

Cole didn’t seem to like Jayden’s explanation as a growl came from his throat getting Jayden’s attention again, “The only thing you proved was how much of an idiot you are, especially when it comes to her.” Cole said pointing a long finger in my direction.

As they begin to go back and forth, bickering and shooting out threats and taunts, my eyes stray from them towards Nolan who is shaking his head in absolute disappointment, then to Eleanor who looks even more frustrated with her sons than before as she tries to get them to calm down and stop fighting.

And as all this is going on and I’m looking at everyone in the room, I begin to stand up from the place I was thrown to on the sofa as I finally find my voice, “Wait! Just stop!” I yell as loud as I can, to everyone’s surprise, effectively making everyone silence in the process.
