I smiled gently as I watched my son freak out that I was me. And Pandora, too - and eventually Eve clocked on. I took a deep breath as I gathered my thoughts, and settled them down. They questioned me, and I simply raised my hand for silence.

"Good. Listen now, children," I smiled, and they sat down. I look behind me, to where Liam and Andre were sitting in the treeline, hidden from the others. "A long time ago, there was a woman. The first woman, in fact. She was not normal by our standards, but she was nothing special by her species' standards. She was part of a race called the Idrasilyus.

"They were a great race, far different to how things are now. All were male, and reproduction was done via artificial modifications. Once, there was a young shepherd who lost his husband when an artificial enhancer collapsed above their heads.

"And so, the shepherd took his infant son and ran away to the depths of the jungle where civilization couldn't find them. He raised his son in a way that contradicted how they had done things in years - he gave him no education or means to understand how anything worked back at the city.

"So as the child grew up, he would think differently than any other child had thought, ever since the very beginning of the Idrasilyus. And even at the beginning, they had been aided into the artificial world by the gods. This child would ask his father things like why they existed, and why the gods didn't intervene anymore.

"His father wouldn't know what to say, and so the child would always wonder about mysteries like this. But then, one day, the Idrasilyus found them, and the shepherd sacrificed himself so his child would live. And so the shepherd's son ran away, and began praying to the gods.

"One day, his pleas were met, and the God of the Sun showed himself to him. It's a he, of course, as a royal he. The God of the Sun, or rather Helios, as the shepherd's son named him, has no gender. However, for the purposes of simplicity, I will refer to him as a he."

"So Helios gave the shepherd's son the ability to create three more beings, as he was the only one of the gods that recognised that the Idrasilyus had grown corrupt. The shepherd's son took Helios' gift, but the god gave one condition to this. The deal, interestingly enough, was that the shepherd's son had to aid Helios in killing the rest of the gods.

"And so the shepherd's son created three beings. First, he created a man that was different from the Idrasilyus. He was of a different race, and he was named Rax. Then, the shepherd's son created something that had never existed before ever. The first woman, and she seemed to be a sort of mix between Rax and the Idrasilyus. And finally, the shepherd's son created another woman, near identical to the first in every way. And these sisters were named Zenith and Luna.

"At the end of this creation process, Helios fused with the shepherd's son. Together, they kept going by the name Helios, but they were stronger than either of them were before. And so Zenith, Luna, Rax and Helios attempted to kill the other gods.

"There were four others, apart from Helios. There was the Goddess of the Moon, the God of the Sky, the Goddess of the Sea and the God of the Land. Sea was the wife of Land, and Moon was the wife of Helios. Sky was the king among them, and all the others were technically married to him too.

"Helios had had a fight with the others a short time ago, because all the others thought the Idrasilyus were perfect in every way. Helios, obviously, didn't think this was true and thought the shepherd's son should be helped. So that was how he found himself exiled with the shepherd's son, and he struck a deal with the young man.

"Land and Moon were unhappy, and while they didn't agree with Helios, they both felt lonely. Moon's husband had been exiled, and Land's wife spent far too much time working with Sky. And so Moon and Land began an affair.
