Y/N's hand formed into a fist, her Jaw, gritted as Premier Zachary says the final Commentary speech for the 13th Commander, Erwin Smith.

Everything happened in a slow pace. As if trying to hurt her ever so slowly. Her eyes, almost tearing up as the others say their condolences to her. They knew her relationship with their deceased commander, after all. Her heart beating fastly as the pain kicks in to her.

Their plan to retake wall Maria failed when the Beast titan, Zeke Yeager's plan to reduce the numbers of scouting legion soldiers worked. It had worked and that's why, The great commander died. Erwin's dying wish is for her to continue on living. Be happy even if he is gone. She must continue on looking forward and bear the pain of loosing someone to death because it is... Inevitable. That's what death is. She, Y/N, will lose a lot of people in her life but Erwin Smith will love her to the very very end. Even if he had died, Levi will protect her. That's his final mission to Levi. He'll make sure that she feels his presence and that she'll carry on his duty to bring back peace and freedom. "I love you Y/N" he breathes his final breath. He closes his eyes and silently dies. "Goodbye Erwin." Y/N says.

"Y/N! I think you need to rest. You've been staring out at nothingness for an hour now." Hange said concern, written all over her face.

"Yes, I think you need to rest Y/N, don't think about your duties just yet. I'll give you a full thorough evaluation tomorrow."
Levi heichou said, a warm expression, plastered on his face.

"Th-thank you. I think I do need some rest. Please, Levi, Hange, rest as well." Y/N said in a low, sad voice.

She walked through the halls, deep in thought, heart have sunken to pain. She finally reached her and Erwin's shared room. Well, it "was" their shared room. With trembling hands, she opened the door. She changed into Erwin's sleeping clothes and breathed in his scent. She lied down to bed and curled up herself into a little ball and her tears came out.

"Er-Erwin! You pr-promised not to leave me!!" She yelled in pure agony

"Erwin" she cried and hugged the pillow next to her. She screamed his name through and through. "Erwin" she yelled, his scent, rubbing off of the pillow she's hugging. "Erwin, baby, I love you"

"Babe, wake up."
A voice called out to her

"Hey, baby. Y/N, I'm right here. Please, wake up. Open your eyes"

Y/N listened to the pleading voice and opened her eyes. Erwin, her Erwin is there.

"Mmhmm, baby, I'm here. Don't worry." Erwin said

"Erwin." She cried out.

"Yes?"
He asked

"I... You're alive."
She said, happily

"Of course, I am, baby. That was a dream, ok?"

"A-alright"

"Mmhmm, you're really warm. Love you" He said cuddling her and kissing the top of her forehead.

"I... Love you too, Erwin. Thank you, thank you for being alive."
She said

"Hmm? Of course. I promised, remember? I. Will. Stay. By. Your. Side. No matter what." He proclaimed and Y/N slept back again, with his warmth, reassuring her of his existence in her life.
