An abrupt knock interrupted your conversation with Erwin.

"Come in" The recuperating Y/N's paramour said.

"Commander Erwin, sir" Hange said while posing the Survey corps salute.

"Hange? Is there something that you need?" Erwin said

"I need to talk to Y/N for awhile, Erwin" She stated turning both Erwin and Hange's attention to you.

"Well, sure. Y/N, go with Hange" He said and gave you a soft smile. You left him and started your chitchat with Hange. Turns out it was something concerning with that Yeager boy.

"What the hell did that Yeager boy do?" You asked Hange; the replacement for the Commander's position.

She replied "He- In some way got to Marley and attacked one of the nobilities, Willy Tybur. Head of the Tybur family. We believe that his motives is to devour the Warhammer titan and he did."

"Was it because he sees the Tybur family as an obstacle for the Rumbling?"

"Probably, Y/N. We still don't know what his true motives are and..." She stopped her sentence and glanced at Erwin's room across the hall "We need Erwin in his best state. The Survey corps - It can't function properly without him. I... Am aware that I am his successor but this crisis - I believe that Erwin will be able to mend it -- all for good."

"I see. That means more tests and experiments." Hange perked up to your eyes when you mentioned that.

"But it only means that Erwin will get better and Paradis would be too."

"I know that Hange. It's just - right. For the glory of humanity. We mustn't put our feelings when our work is giving our lives on the line." You hesitated in saying more for you didn't want to create a tension between you and Hange or else the friendship would be no more. She takes a step forward and hugs you. "Y/N...
