The Family Business

Chapter 11

Gerard's POV

After I hung up on Frank I got a knock at my office door.

"Hey, Boss its Alex. I have the report you wanted." He said behind the huge oak doors.

"Okay come in," I say moving over to my desk sit behind it. Alex then proceed to walk up to my desk and give me the report. "Thank you Alex, you dismissed." He says a quick thank and all about runs out of my office.

I scan through the report quickly, but it does not hold any knew information. I set it on my desk then I walk towards the oak doors once again. I leave my office with my phone in hand. I to my room to quickly pack since I had only around 3hrs to do so.

As I enter my room, I call Pete still trying to think of a lie to tell him.

"What's up, Boss?" He says through the phone after picking up rather quickly.

"I'm going on a trip to visit my parents. I'll be back midday on Friday. I'm leaving you in charge so don't screw anything up and if anything comes up with this other family call me right away."

"Okay Boss, I'll take care of the family while your gone. Don't worry I got you."

"Bye Pete. I'm leaving soon so I have to finish packing." I say right before I hang up the phone.

After I finished the call with Pete I get out a large suitcase and start to pack. I through in two dresses, a pair of short shorts, a skirt, a couple other clothing items. After that I through in some accessories and three different pairs of shoes. Just as I was sipping my suitcase I get a text from Frankie saying that he was already on his way to get me. I at the clock and that I just spent threeish hours packing.

I grab my suitcase, my purse, and my jacket. As I left my room I double check to make sure I have everything I needed. When I realize I have everything I needed, I walked out of my room closing and locking my door behind me.
