Gerard's POV
I woke up later that morning with my phone ringing so much that I though it was going to explode. I finally roll over and reach for the phone and pick it up after realizing that it wasn't going to stop ringing.
As I try to wipe the sleep from my eyes I answer the phone with a groggy "Do you know what time it is? You better have a good reason for calling me this early."
"Boss. Its Pete we have an emergency." He says with extreme worry in his voice.
This makes me sit up right away and makes me feel wide wake.
"What the hell happened Pete! I've barely been gone for a day." I say with so much anger that I assume that I am pink in the face.
"Umm well it wasn't exactly my fault....Alex got attacked-"
I cut hime off before he could say more. "What. Do. You. Mean. Alex got attacked?"
"He was out for a job and he got beat up and held at gun point. And at first we though it was just a mugging well...because...you know that we live in New Jersey. But he said that they through card at him with the Iero family crest." Pete finished.
"F*ck...I can't believe that I cant even take a couple day vacation." I whisper to myself.
"Pete I'll be heading home with two hours. Try to find more information on the attackers." Before he could say anything more I hung up the phone.
I proceed to throw off the covers and to pack everything up that we unpacked yesterday. As I'm packing everything up Frank rolls over in is sleep and reaches to pull me closer to him. When he realized that I was awake he opened his eyes and looked around the room for me.
"Why are all of our bags packed?" He says looking to the bags to me and then back to the backs.
"Alex- one of my men got attacked. We gotta go home so I deal with this." I say throwing on the outfit that I left out.
"F*cking hell why can't we just go on vacation and be left alone." He throws on the shorts and shirt I left out for him.
Once he finishes getting dressed he says, "let's go home and deal with this."
